I recently saw a video that had an awesome alg that I now use for this F2L case:
alg is: (R U R' U')(R U R' U')(R U R')
But I am now running into the problem that if I see this case in like the back I will do a double cube rotation to do it, so I was wondering, in this case would you do 1 or even 2 cube rotations, do you know the alg from all angles or would you solve it more intuitively (rotate the top layer, pop the edge out and solve like a basic case?)
Also kind of a similar question, I have been looking at some algs for cases where the pieces are together and notice that often what I do intuitively is often 3-5 more moves and sometimes an unnecessary cube rotation, but I start doing this quite quickly and my time if often faster than trying to figure out/remember a more ideal way. So I was wondering, should I just stick to doing it sub-optimally or spend the extra time for now and hope I eventually get faster with the more ideal ways and just deal with slower times for a while?
