Hi, I've recently purchased an Alpha V-f from speedcubeshop.com. I tried adjusting the tension to make it looser, as it was way too tight. It seems that the looser I set it, the higher the center cap rises. I'm pretty sure that this is because of the screw under the cap which is pushing against the center cap... Is there any way to fix this? I really want to loosen the tension to make it at least better than my Rubik's brand

Have you lubed it yet? The cube I mean. My AV-f is awesome, I haven't even broken it in properly. Either there's something wrong with your AV-f, or your Rubiks brand is really good.

What will happen if i put WD-40 in a cube?

Hi everybody, i was wondering what exactly would happen if i put WD-40 in a cube. i don't have any lube and i just had it sitting around the house. Should i use it? :confused:

WD-40 will melt your cube it will feel good for a little while then just destroy it. In the future put this in The One Answer Question Thread.

Don't use it. Your cube will probably melt.

They fit, but a there will be a little of the edge stickers left, so be sure to put it in the outer side, so it just cuts itself with use..

i have a QJ 2x3x3

but when i assemble it and tighten the screw all the way
but then after a few turns it becomes loose and falls apart.

no it's like the cube unscrews itself when i do d/u moves

In addition to the all the above, despite popular belief, WD40 has very poor lubricating properties. So even if it doesn't dissolve your cube, it won't lubricate it.

It is a penetrating compound: a fluid with extremely low viscosity allowing it to penetrate small gaps and releive seized mechanisms. Low viscosity makes it bad for lubrication.

In fact, it's so bad for lubricating that if it comes into contact with anything like grease, it'll break it down. It's great (disclaimer: don't try this yourself) for cleaning grease and dirt off your hands after working on the car...

hmm....i would suggest getting a lanlan 3x3x2...those work well but u could try to put new screws in there that'll fit and if that doesnt work then itss prolly the cube
