Could I use vegetable oil in my dayan zhanchi as lube?

I used veggie oil once and after a while it turns black and slows the cube down a lot. Don't use it. Can't even get the black stuff out of the washer and springs completely. It's much worse than traxxas and crc.

EDIT: It feels extremely gummy like you over lubed your cube a lot after one drop.

No, don't use vegetable oil. It will slow down your cube, make it feel like a block of hard jelly, cause friction, and other bad results will occur. If you don't have a hobby store around you, buy either CRC silicone or Jigaloo. If you don't have any hardware store around you, just order Traxaas Differential Oil online. Including cheap shipping, it wont cost over 10 bucks. Maybe like 7 or 8 dollars depending on shipping fee.

Does anyone know how to say "cubing" or "Speedcuber" in ASL? Do I just randomly pretend I'm twisting an imaginary cube in mid air or what .__.

Looking for a good E-Permutation

Well I'm learning 2 Look PLL but the E-Permutation found on badmephisto's site dosn't work for me for some reason, it's not that I can't perform it but that it doesn't work on my cube and im not sure why. I was wondering if eveyone could post the E-Permutation they use on here so I can see which ones are the best for me. The one I currently tried is x'[(R U' R') D (R U R')] u2 [(R' U R) D (R' U' R)]

The algs works (click here).
List of E perms (click on the algs to see how that work).

There's no such thing as an algorithm that "doesn't work on your cube". Either or works on ANY cube or it doesn't. You're just doing it wrong somehow.

Check everything again to see where you might be making your mistake. Most likely it is one of three things though
1. the x rotation
2. doing D and D` backwards
3. the u2(note that it is lower-case, meaning a double layer turn)

As for me, I use this one(probably not the fastest one out there but easy to remember)
z U2 R2 F (R U R' U') (R U R' U') (R U R' U') F' R2 U2

In the OBLBL method explained here, I'm stuck at Step 6. I've made all possible edges except for two, like edge pairing parity in normal Reduction. How can this be solved?

EDIT : Never mind, I got it... Where it's written "On 5x5x5, half the time you will end up with two edges swapped," the alg works for 4x4 too (I should've specified I was doing 4x4 anyway.) :p
