Has anyone else had problems assembling their 50mm zhanchi? like the head won't fit correctly into the center? Is there a way to fix it or something?

A picture would be helpful. I don't have a 50mm, but maybe you got the wrong screws/core. That's if you mean the screw head. If you mean some piece, then maybe your screw is just crooked.

So it's faster, locks less, feels better, is a better size, is a better color, looks cooler, is a better weight, and is collapsible for easy transportation?

No really though, is it really that much better? Because I thought past the level of Zhanchi it would just be mostly personal preference. I guess what I'm asking is is it better in that it's more enjoyable to use, or does it give you better times, or both?

To me a WeiLong feels like a zhanchi on the loose side (thats probably because of my tensions). The feel is basically of a zhanchi except it never locks up or fails a corner cut during solves. It is extremely fast and this is not to the liking of everyone but it can be overlubed to gain that smooth guhong-like sticky feeling.

I really have to put emphasis on how fast it is after lubed, I can see how this would be a problem to someone. For cubers that are sub 15 or sub 20 even this will become their main in most cases, I'm pretty sure of that.

It came with a DIY kit....
I'll edit with a video link in a few mins with the problem.

That might be okay for a mini zhanchi. What you're saying is that the whole screw is supposed to sink below into the hollow cylinder in the center piece, right?

On my 42mm ZhanChi, my screw doesn't go into the cylinder either. In fact, when all the pieces are taken out and I'm left with the center pieces on the core, the center caps won't go on because the screw head is poking them off. Don't worry, just screw the screws in a bit and tension it after you put the corners and edges in. I'll add a picture showing my 42mm in a bit.

While cleaning my cube, How do I take care of the screws, springs and washers?
There is previously used silicon based lube on them, I don't want to risk wiping them off with a wet cloth due to fear of rusting the screws.
How do I clean them, any ideas?

If you use a damp rag then that won't rust the screws but if you constantly put the screws in water then over time they will get rusty.

Wiping them with just regular toilet paper will do just fine. I put some toilet paper around a toothpick to reach the insides of corner pieces for example. Same with the insides of the springs. Some dirt wont come off but you dont need to worry about it if it has practically no mass or form that would actually slow movement down.

I got some Questions about the Mini 54.6mm Fangshi.

1. Dose the box that comes with the 54.6mm Fangshi the same as the box that comes with the 57mm one?
2. Once you break it in dose it have the same speed and feeling as the 57mm Fangshi?
3. Has anyone scanned the QR code that is on the 54.6mm fangshi box if so can someone give me the URL of the QR code?
4. Is it a good OH cube?
5. How often dose the edge capes come off during a solve on the 54.6mm Fangshi?

DOES

I don't think the edge capes come off as much because they fit inside the edge instead of over the top of it so you cant pull them off easily

Is there anyway to hide the timer when you are solving? Whenever I solve I tend to look at my time during PLL, and usually if it's a good solve I mess up and fail, doing my PLL in around 3 seconds, and I can easily sub-2 every PLL.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I use Prisma timer, but if you guys find something which could solve my problem on any timer I would switch.

edit dos: I could change the timer color to black and background to black on qqtimer. However I don't want to use an online timer as I have already lost all my times on qqtimer twice already.

which timer? If you mean qqtimer, just go into options

Is there a way to make the 55 mm zhanchi faster?

I lubed (with 50k traxxas and 1 drop of maru lube) and tensioned it like normal and broke it in with ~100+ solves and some using a drill to speed up the breaking in process but the cube still feels really slow and stiff during OH. It's not gummy or anything, just slow. It can cut ~50 degrees and reverse half a cubie so it's not the tensions.
