What's the best possible lube you can buy on Amazon for a ZhanChi? I know I already asked however I only got one recommendation....

Search for "differential oil". "Traxxas" or "OFNA" are two popular brands. 50K (50,000) or 30K (30,000) are the most popular weights.

Least? Don't know why you would want that, but Lubix's smallest is 2cc. I got 50ccs of 50k wt diff oil (lubix KO) for $10, the same price as lubix 2cc without shipping though.

Haha, meant most. Thanks for the info :)

It doesn't matter now anyway, as I have now obtained the knowledge from another recourse.

hey everyone, i have been trying to decide whether to get a speedstacks timer or a 2x2 if anyone can help that would be great. thanksd:)

I am assuming that you don't have a 2x2, which in that case I would go for a Wittwo. But if you already have a 2x2 than I would probably go for the timer especially if you solve competitively.

In February of this year I recieved a free c4y cube with my order, it is glow in the dark green 3x3x3...

C4Y aren't known for making good 3x3's, so it's probably just a crap cube, but since it was free just shelf it as an interesting novelty cube.

...found this lotion called glysomed in my bathroom cabinet, its main ingredients are silicone, glycerin and chamomille (lol)

Yeah, silicone is used in lots of things like shampoo's and such like. I'd imagine lotion could easily have a high coefficient of static friction (sticky at first). But you can always give it a try and if it's rubbish just take the cube appart and clean it out.

I was reading about the 48 pt edge mod and interpreted the post incorrectly.

On my Zhanchi I removed the 3 bumps on each corner piece instead of what I was supposed to do.

Will this have any adverse effects?

Works great, but now my cube smells fruity and feels greasy.... Guess it's to the dishwasher for you old friend

i believe that's also a semi-popular mod that some people do to their corners, so i think you still should be safe.

also, you shouldn't really need to do the 48 point mod on the zhanchi, CPM already does ALOT for it w/o needing t he 48 pt edge mod.

Roux-ers! I call upon thee! lol I've finally decided to learn CMLL, have been learning for about a week now. I'm taking my time and making sure to really cement the algorithms. I noticed a while back that when folks write their algorithms out in a list they use A1, B2, and similar as a way of denoting which algorithm they're referring to. Using that system, others that use the same algorithm set that is being referred to understand which algorithm they are talking about. I would like to understand that system as well, however.... The place I'm learning my algorithms from doesn't use that system.

I'm learning from the Lubix site, this link http://www.lubixcube.com/Lubix_Cube/CMLL.html So far I really like the algorithms and the pictures of each case have been incredibly helpful in helping me understand what's happening. Is there any chance that one of you wonderful folks could go through that list there, and in the same order as that site give me a list of what letter number pair each case is? Just starting with the J-Perm and going down the list. I'd love to be able to assign those letter/number combos to my algorithm sheets and flashcards to help me also learn what each case is.

if someone does this, I'll happily add it to my site.

This site as reference - Kirjava's old CMLL page

1 = no swap
2 = Back swap
3 = Right swap
4 = Front swap
5 = Left swap
6 = Diag swap

Damn, Donovan some of those algs are terrible.

Unirox - you should check out Kirjava's CMLL thread

Thanks a ton for that! Now when you say that some of those algs are terrible, which ones in particular are you referring to? I've memorized 22 not including the 2 A cases. So far I really like all the algorithms I've learned. They flow well with my finger tricks, and have been very easy to remember.
