My friend played with my magic and now it's completely messed up. The last time this happened it took several hours of random...stuff just to get it flat. Is there an easy guide to fixing this problem that someone could direct me to?

So I'm sure this is normal, but it's been so long since I've learned a new method, I don't know.
Anyway, I average ~12 seconds on pyraminx with LBL (solve three 3 centers, then finish the layer, then orienting and permuting the edges on the last tip in one step). I recently (yesterday) learned the Keyhole method with Erik's tutorial on youtube. I've been practicing all day, and I have a current average of 17.65... Will I end up being faster once I get used to the method and recognizing cases? I'm sure I will, and I feel kind of like a noob asking this, but I don't know when the last time I learned a new method was besides Fridrich. I did learn Yau a couple months ago, but I immediately saw improvement on 4x4 times.
I do plan on eventually learning the methods shown in KongJonna's tutorials on youtube, but I figured I'd learn this first, as it seems faster/more advanced than simple LBL.

How long does it take for Witeden dispatch, on average, I ordered start of this week, no email confirmation or anything else...

Their total shipping time is about 3-4 weeks. You should have received a confirmation - try emailing them about it.

Not really. I've done the same thing to mine many times and have had to just mess with it to get it back. Doesn't really take all that long though.

Yes. Once you practice a new method and become familiar with it, your times will drop. Just takes some getting used to.

Okay, that's what I was thinking. Do you personally recommend that I learn keyhole? Because I think it can be fast, but I kind of think I might as well just jump straight to WO or Oka or something advanced like that.

No need, I average 9 seconds easily with LBL using a crappy Pyraminx. Seriously, just look for "blocks" during inspection, check for both those colors on the blocks and then make a layer using that, with practice you can easily memo all tips as well so you don't have to worry about them anymore. LBL is underrated for the Pyraminx. But, if you do want to average around 4 seconds, go ahead and learn something more advanced.

I have a zhanchi (had it for a month or so now) and I've tensioned it kind of loose and lubed it with crc.
I found that the green and orange sides make horrible "springy" sounds when I turn it, kind of like I'm turning springs, I guess.
Is there a way to get rid of this, or do I just have to use it more?

if u watch the video of how to make a ultimate lubix guhong from lubix on youtube, they say that the sound is cause by the friction of the spring and the screw head and you need to lube the head so it stops but dont think will work with crc u should use a high viscosity lube like lubix or traxxas.

Now my question
what is meant by Outer Edges Softened that is on this thread below mods of the zhanchi??

If lubix is just shock oil, then what weight is it? (eg 5w, 10w, 7.5w ect.)

Also, has anyone made a cube with metal internal sides yet?

I would absolutely recommend you learn keyhole. I got to a 6 second average with literally just keyhole, so it can definitely be fast. ;)

Also, there seems to be a bit of confusion about naming. "Keyhole" is exactly the same method as what most people call "Oka", and which kongjonna calls "Oka youtube". Real Oka is what is taught in his "Oka ekspert" tutorial and in this video.

Just thought I'd try to clear that up for you. :p

Lubix is comparable to diff oil (thicker shock oil) around the 30,000Wt - 50,000Wt.

The Lubix company were developing metal cores (which would get around squint screw problems), however there has been no word on them for months. Personally I think there are technical problems with a metal core which requires a non-trivial solution.

Hi guys, I wanted to know how to make the cross at bottom faster. I am pretty fast at solving the cross on top, but to look ahead I need to make it on the bottom. I am pretty slow at making the crossa at bottom. Any tips?
Also, any good tuts for Roux?

There are multiple ways to make crosses faster on the bottom.

I don't know about Roux at all.

My question: are there any 2x2x2 programs similar to cube explorer?

You can absolutely make that go away. Take the springs out of those sides. When you look at the springs there should be a visible end to each spring at either end. What you're hearing is that raised metal on th end scratching your screw head. If you take a file and gently smooth that end point on either end of the spring your scratching sound should go away. I despise that sound and have done this to every cube I own and they none scratch.

@TheAllCreator Thank you.Learnt Fridrich from badmephisto buT I guess I missed that vid.

@Kirajava I amc currently improving fridrich and see how fast I get. After sub 40 I will learn roux and see if it suits me, and if it does, I will ask you. If it doesn't, I will continue fridrich

How long does it take to get used to a new cube? I recently (about 5 days ago) got a (lubix) Guhong V2 and my old cube was a pretty terrible rubik's brand. My average time dropped about 10 seconds immediately (from about 45 to 35 seconds) but there were actually some things I prefer about my old cube or I am just not used to with this new cube. For example, sometimes if I re-grip for whatever reason I will accidentally nudge another layer (often the middle one) and have to like re-align, or if I don't I will often get lockups this way. I know the cube has great corner cutting capabilities, but it doesn't really work if like both the top and bottom layer are trying to cut like 20 degrees at the same time (middle layer misaligned by 20 degrees). The other problem is like over/under shooting, with my old cube you had to push the layer all the way to where you wanted it, it wouldn't "slide" at all, but with this cube a little flick can get it to where I need it, but it doesn't always end up in the same place, I am rather inaccurate with the turning of this cube. So I was just wondering, are these things I will just eventually get used to and how long do you estimate that may take? Or is it more an issue of having to like re-learn the basics (how to turn the new cube)?

I went from Rubik's brand to a Zhanchi.
Basically, the main advice I can give you is to be gentle, practice accurate turning for a few minutes. You won't need to practice it much, it's just to get you started with that new cube. But really, it will all come by itself, there is no need to do anything special.

Hey guyz,

I recently got given a random '2 bar' 3x3 cube... it has a bar between the orange and red, which goes over the yellow face... and green and blue over white on the other...
My question is where can i find tutorials/information about this cube? its getting really annoying now... =\

Here are the pics...
... images didnt work,
im uploading my images onto imgur atm....

Update* its finished!

edit:
Hold bars on L and R, along the E layer, so you can turn M. Solve corners with R2 U R2 U' R2 or R2 U R2 U' R2 U' D R2 U' R2 U R2 D' then solve the D layer edges with M' U(',2) M. Orient U edges with M U M' U2 M U M' or (M' U')4 (U' M')4 then permute U edges with M2 U' M' U2 M U' M2

OMG u are a life saver! :D

thanks you so much! finally can solve this stupid thing :P
