ALOT. I've got a 5ml syringe of Lubix and I've used it dozens of times and am no where near through it. The thing with this kind of diff oil, like lubix is that you only need a tiny dab of it.
Like a quiet cube? Ghost Hand cubes are pretty quiet. My guhong is really quiet after putting traxxas 50k and 2 drops of maru in it. I think the F2 is also pretty quiet.
What would You think about the following K4 modification:
1.: Solve six centers, like You'd normally do while solving with Reduction.
2.: Instead of pairing random edges, and putting them away, look for Cross edges, pair them and put them in the right place, so that after this step You'll have Cross and all of the centers done.
3.: Solve the first layer's corners, but in a way that'll also solve at least one edge. It'd be like normal F2L, but the edges could be split in half.
4.: Continue solving with regular K4.
I'm learning ortega for 2x2 and I keep getting this case where it looks like the case where the back 2 adjacent corners on top switch and the bottom 2 opposite corners switch but when you do R U' R F2 R' U R' you get a switch adjacent corners on bottom and solved on top. I got 6 DNFs in an average of 12 because of this. How can I avoid this? I recognize cases based on what's solved.

I think you must be just recognizing the case wrong. One other way to identify which case you have is just look for 2x1 bars and see if you have one on the top, the bottom, or both(or if either side is already solved).

Adjust the up and down faces until you make an L shape of one colour on the front.
When L shape is upside down:
If the vertical line part of the L is on the right, do the (R U' R) F2 (R' U) R' alg that you suggested.
If the vertical line part is on the left, do the mirror, (L' U L') F2 (L U') L.
When L shape is right way up:
If vertical line part is on the right do R' D R' F2 R D' R
" " " " " the left do L D' L F2 L' D L'
