How long does it take for a zhanchi to break in? And how long does it take for a storebought to break in?
My zhanchi didnt need to be brake in actually the only brake in that it may need is when it has been lubed with lubix and only for like 10 min. The zhanchi makes a really big difference when lubed. I have no idea about the time it takes to brake in a store bought..

any tip to look ahead better?

You must turn slower. You may think it is very stupid to do this, but when you notice that you have emitted the stalling time, it will definitely improve your times. Really that's it except for practice, practice PRACTICE. But remember to practice usefully and not just solve a cube over and over again. You must analyze what you are doing and the steps to it so you can memorize it to both mental and muscle memory. This will allow you to do the F2L blind, leaving you a bunch of time to lookahead.

Do i need to know ZBF2L for ZBLL?
No, because ZBF2L is a sub step of the ZB method. As long as the LL edges are oriented, ZBLL can be used (without the knowledge of ZZF2L).
However, if one was to go to the effort of learning full ZBLL, they would probably be willing to put in some extra time into learning ZBF2L.
Does anyone else keep getting database error? Every time I try to submit a post I get it and it's annoying. I keep accidentally double posting because of it.
You're not the only one.

I'm getting a 2x2x2 (lanlan cuz my mom thinks wittwo is too expensive, but whatev)
and im wondering what method i should use
i already know how to solve a 3x3, so I actually do know how to solve one, but is there a faster method that people use?
thanks

What are cancellation moves? Because I found this term in Zane's M2 tutorial and he didn't explain it further.

Sometimes the last move of an algorithm or sequence may be the opposite of the first move of the next algorithm. In this case, you can just leave out both of those moves... they "cancel."

For example:
Let's say you get this OLL | (R U R' U') (R' F R F')
Followed by a Y perm | F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F'

The last "F'" in the OLL and the first "F" in the PLL cancel each other out, so you can just not do them at all.

I use pochman corners for BLD, and use a righty J perm for parity after solving corners. If I am fortunate enough to get URB as my last corner(solve with righty J) then I can actually cancel an entire algorithm... which is beyond awesome.

Ortega is what most cubers tend to use after moving beyond the beginners method. I can't give you an exact time, but ~5 seconds is definitely achievable with this method.

Heres a tough quest.\
If I'm a completely colour neutral user, during competition , how do I find out which colour crosses I shud do?
They all look the same hard.

Alpha V-f Center Cap Rises Above other Pieces?

Hi, I've recently purchased an Alpha V-f from speedcubeshop.com. I tried adjusting the tension to make it looser, as it was way too tight. It seems that the looser I set it, the higher the center cap rises. I'm pretty sure that this is because of the screw under the cap which is pushing against the center cap... Is there any way to fix this? I really want to loosen the tension to make it at least better than my Rubik's brand :P

Hmm, that sounds weird. Either your screws have really large heads, or you have them really, really loose. I can hav mine pretty far down without noticing bad effects on the tension. How far up is the screw head? The distance between the top of my screw head and the opening of the screw hole is about twice the size of the small parts of the cap that goes down there.

White cubes ?

I know this is a noob question but are white cube allowed in cubing events and also what cube are not allowed

I dont know if it's because of the current errors on the site, but if it isn't, please make just one thread. Also, this type of question belongs in The One Answer Question Thread. But since you already asked, white cubes are allowed, and so are pink cubes, and green cubes and practically any colored cube that only has one solid color on the body. Multicolored cubes such as the stickerless DaYans are not allowed. There are a few regulations that you can find here, and as long as a cube comply with these regulations, it is competition legal.

I have an old cube, that had yet to be identified. About 20 years old, not a Rubik's brand, but storebought. When I first started cubing, I saw Dan Brown's tutorial and lubed it with vaseline. I recently found my own Rubik's brand cube that I bought about 5 years a go in my basement, and I think I had performed 5-6 solves with it. Now that I have Traxxas, I lubed it with it. Turns great and doesn't damage the cube. But. It's still very noisy. I broke it in, so it turns okay. I want to make it quieter. Since my unknown cube is pretty silent and that I lubed it with vaseline, would vaseline help my Rubik's cube to make less noise? I'm really just trying to find a way to mod it so it doesn't make too much noise.

I also have an F-II and a ZhanChi, but they simply make too much noise when I'm riding the bus. I don't care if my Rubik's becomes loose or if it doesn't cut corners, I usually practice algs and look-ahead in the bus anyway. Thanks!

Do Cubesmith 6x6x6 stickers fit on a Shengshou?

Hi guys! I was looking into buying new stickers for my Shengshou 6x6x5, and I can't seem to find any others on Cubesmith except for V-Cube 6 stickers. Knowing that the v-cube 6 is bigger than the Shengshou, I was wondering if I should just buy the v-cube stickers and risk them being to big? Anyone have any personal experience with this? Lol, help would be much appreciated :P
