Don't put the core in water, everything else is OK. I think I overlubed my V5, so when my wife was done with the dishes, I disassembled it and wased it in the soap water. It still turns bad, but it is clean

Is cleaning your cube in the sink bad for it? Every time I clean my cubes in the sink, they seem to progressively gets worse after it. And I'm curious if it's actually bad for it or not.

Depends on what you use to clean your cubes and what sink it is in your house. If its you kitchen sink then food particles could get stuck to it. If its a sink you brsuh your teeth in then leftover toothpaste could get onto the cubies and the microcrystals could be getting stuck to the cube leaving scratch marks on it.

I would not recommend using soap, just use a clean towel to get lube, grim, etc off.

My question: Is freeslice edgepairing on 4x4 worth it, or is it much faster to do the 3-2-2-2-3 or the 6-3-3 or those types of edgepairing?

I would just do 3-2-2-2-3 but I'm not that fast anyhow.

A OH cube is normally looser, and sometimes even gummed up with lube to make it more controllable. It sometimes is a LingYun because it is smaller.

They're often a smaller sized cube so that they're easier to handle. They're also much looser so they can cut better and handle misalignments that commonly happen in OH solves.

Well no way, if you actually see what freeslice and other edge pairings do, you will realise, its just better than the beginner one at a time pairing (that we dont restore the centers everytime).
on a 4x4, freeslice is worse than 3-2-2-2-3(thats what most WR Holders use i guess), or otherwise you might like trying yau too to pair first 3 dedges.
on a 5x5, freeslice and 2 at a time is quite similar, but freeslice is a little faster
on bigger cubes, freeslice is the way to go

My question- I got my magics yesterday, rubiks magic i understood. But i accidentally scrambled my master magic while trying to understand how to solve it, any good tutorial on what i should do , i saw some by convinsa and 1-2 more people, but couldnt do anything. I see, I guess that makes sense, I didn't really understand the point of having two seperate cubes but if you were a really good OH solver I can definitely see why you would.

I just use my Fusion, since it's slower (I added extra lube) and more controllable. I just my new ZhanChi for 2h

I bought a OH cube from Phil Yu at a comp last year and the difference between that and my OH are night and day. I'm not very good at OH at all but the decreased strain from such a loose and well modded cube made a OH Ao50 possible. I couldn't ever do that on my GuHong

I purchased the book by Dan Harris, understanding that there was an errata available. Unfortunately, I didn't bother looking for the errata until after I bought the book. Now that we are trying to learn from the book, we have run into obvious errors (e.g., table 8.3), and are unable to find the errata.

Does anybody know if the errata was mirrored somewhere other than Dan Harris' apparently now defunct website?
