How can i improve my turn speed? (Tps)

Very rarely is the solution to increasing speed increasing TPS. The only way raw TPS will help you is in LL alg execution. For the most part looking ahead will increase your speed so you can turn slightly less fast bu with more fluidity.

If you're really trying to improve raw TPS though practice fingertricks will help. R U'x63 will help. So will OLL and PLL time attacks. You can also do some work on your hardware. Cleaning out and lubing your cube will help, as will a good tensioning.

Well, the real reason is that the 3x3 portion of the 4x4 is about 10-15 secs longer than my normal 3x3.
My lookahead is fine, so i assume its the TPS.
BTW i have a ssv3.

I don't have any experience with the SSVIII, I own an X-Cube. 3x3 stage will be harder on 4x4 just because there are more layers to move. Parity also slows down 3x3 phase. The best things to practice for decreasing your 3x3 phase of reduction is to just solve your 4x4 as a 3x3. Do an Ao50 or something. Also drill parity and LL algs.

Edit: Another thing that will add a lot of time is transition from reduction to cross. Don't spend 5 seconds looking for cross pieces after edge pairing.

Edit 2: I just did a quick Ao5 on my 4x4 and got 23.6 seconds. My 3x3 Ao50 I just finished was 21.1. There shouldn't be a 10-15 second difference at all. I'd work on transitions first and foremost. I did the 4x4 average with inspection btw

One of my zhanchi's screw refuses to come out while I'm setting the tensions. After I took a better look at it I found out that it's not in a very good shape. What should I do? I can get it to move...

try putting some oil on the screw not MOTOR OIL something like cooking oil, shock oil or oil lube and possibly get these http://www.speedcubeshop.com/apps/webstore/products/show/2520072 I recommend not using the washer t makes the cube faster without them.

Im getting 29's and i average 18's.
About the cross, Its actually easier for me, cause i just have to look for a block(Roux), then everything comes easy.

I don't know too much about Roux other than the basic concepts. Is the cube locking at all? Even if it's not taking it apart and doing some general sanding/rounding usually helps. I wish I could help more but I don't know enough about the method to pinpoint anything that could be wrong.

Dont worry about it. Just gotta do more modding i guess.

I didn't feel like finding the what cube should I get thread so I'm just going to post it here.
What's the difference between YJ 6x6 and SS 6x6?
Does the 2nd generation stackmat timer come with the thing that connects it to the computer?
Is it worth spending 2 times more for a 2nd generation when I can just buy a 1st generation stackmat timer (for about $10)?
How durable are cubesmith 1/2 bright stickers compared to the stickers that come on dayan cubes?
Are cubesmith tiles worth getting considering the price?

Anyone order from lightake recently? How long did it take.

For me it took about 2-3 weeks and it looked like it was soaked in water or something because it was all soggy and stuff when I opened it.

YJ is a s****y copy of V cube. Shenshou is way better.
No.
It depends on how much you want to use it. Get the Pro Timer(V3), its the same price and looks cooler. You have to get the mat too if you want to use it with a mat.
They are crazy durable. Hardly chip.
They outlast your cube and can be reused, so yes but the colors are strange on them.

Hmm... as long as it came within a reasonable time and is not destroyed I am fine with that.
