How much should I practice to get really good? I average ~17 seconds and I want to get really serious with my practice. I've been trying to do 100-200 solves a day. Is that enough?

I've gotten good, and people say I've done so pretty fast, and I do <50 solves a day.
Mind you, today I was off sick from school and did an avg300.

Don't bother putting a number on it; rather try to practice certain aspects and give yourself, for example, an hour to do so. Like today I did an hour focussing 15 mins on each of the four steps, then did some 4x4 then did my avg300. I recommend you don't simply solve repeatedly...

Mini dayan + MF8 4x4 HELP ~

well I've had my mini dayan 4x4 for nearly a week and I modded it but I don't think i really helped with the lock ups and turning of the outer layer nor the popping...

wondering if anyone has any decent mods for the outer layer and for popping...

I also noticed when I tighten the screws in the 2x2 core area, my outers layers never tighten and they feel like they have been loosened and my inner layers have only tightened....

help please ~

DNF means Did Not Finish. You get it if you didn't solve your puzzle, did'nt start/stop the timer correctly, inspected for over 17 seconds or cheated.

A +2 means that 2 seconds is added to your time, and you get it is when the puzzle is one quarter turn from being solved (45-135 degrees for 2x2-7x7 and square-1, 35-105 degrees for megaminx and 60-180 degrees for pyraminx (and skewb)), or you inspected for 15-17 seconds. +2 Does not exist for clocks that are one turn from solved. For magic it exists, but I don't know how it works fully...

This is'nt all of it, but I hope it's the more important. If you think I missed something, or want to read more, read the WCA regulations, at worldcubeassociation.org.
