I am not sure the v-cube probably be the same if not more than the KO as for the SS it might be a little bit cheaper but i would just wait until they both come out then get the cheapest.
I didn't know there was an 11x11x11 made out of currants. Anyway, $230 is too much for a Yuxin 11x11x11. I don't think there are currently other brands. The Yuxin is pretty good from what I've seen in videos, and it would probably be good for your purposes. However, I'm sure V-cubes could release a better one if they wanted.
awww....
oh well all i can do is break it in but should i loosen my outer shells so the outer layers can turn better or are they better being tight (I have mine on full tension)
How much should I practice to get really good? I average ~17 seconds and I want to get really serious with my practice. I've been trying to do 100-200 solves a day. Is that enough?
As Brest said, it's waaayyy more about how you practice than how much you practice. People tell me frequently that I improved really, really fast (from ~40 seconds to ~11 in just under two months or so). Cubing isn't my only hobby, so I don't actually pay as much attention to it as people assume I do. I maybe did just under 100 solves a week, and even less now. However, don't put a number on it. I found my times got faster the more I enjoyed actually practising and the less I cared about how fast I was. Sidenote: Maybe that's why I suck at comp >.>
So, I decided to time my individual steps for 4x4x4. I use K4. I know all of them could use work, but which ones especially?
Two opposite centres: 7.79
Rouxblock: 16.41
M-Centres: 16.06
Finish off layer + F3L: 19.53
CLL: 2.72
ELL: 19.33
= Hypothetical 81.84 second (1:21.84) average, which is better than my usual by ~5-7 seconds.
What is there to learn after full OLL and full PLL? I see a bunch of acronyms that I don't know like CLL COLL ZBLL, what do those mean and is that just more algs to memorize? I honestly don't care if it makes me faster, I just really enjoy the movements of the cube.

CLL/ELL- CLL solves all the corners (orient and permute), and ELL does the same with the edges.
COLL- Just like OLL, but permutes the corner as well.
ZBLL- Like CLL but permutes the corners at the same time (good if you happen to have all edges oriented, then it's just 1-look LL)
I've never learned past OLL and PLL, but from what I understand, the people who do learn them don't totally convert to it, but they use it when it's a better choice than OLL and PLL. For example, if you learned CLL/ELL, and you came across a LL case where all the edges are oriented and permuted, then CLL would be a faster choice than OLL/PLL.
