Yea, I really need help on the cross as well. I mean, I can do it blindfolded and all of that, but it's always so slow. I can't even sub-3 usually with the cross, unless it's a really easy one, just because of all the awkward fingertricks. Are there any tips for speeding up really awkward fingertricks?

Try making it on L. My cross got a lot faster by switching to Cross on Right (I'm leftie.)

Hey, if possible could you do a Roux diagonal swap and adjacent swap (CMLL) please?
I'm sure there could be faster sequences disregarding the M slice.

Even if you can ignore the L6E and the other 4 centres, I couldn't find anything better for speed :p

For A2 and A6, I just use A perm and E perm or solve it last :p

Well you can solve any f2l case where the edge is oriented using only R and U moves.
You can solve any OLL where the edges are all oriented using only R and U moves.
You can solve any PLL where the corners are all permuted using only R and U moves.

is the vasoline dissolving plastic true? (only search says it disolves latex) anyone know if aquaphor would work?

edit -feels better than lubix and transformed an old store bought. update in a couple days since im sure it wont last long (wouldnt recommend on using unless you want to bring an old cube back from the dead)

A question for relatively fast Roux solvers:

How far into the solve do you generally already have planned out after pre-inspection? (Currently, I only pre-inspect first block, and maybe an edge for next block; I average 13, and I feel my lookahead is holding me back)

I was using a regular razor blade to trim my peeling stickers to it was smooth.(Corners were coming off a lil so I basically cut/trimmed the corner parts of like 2 stickers..) Really dumb by me -.-..so I ended up scraping some plastic from 2 of my cube pieces. Only where the sticker is supposed to go on top of...is that bad? No right? (Since the sticker covers the scraped plastic part anyway?)

I dont know whether you consider me fast (low 12s to low 13s) but I plan the whole first block and find the pieces for the second block and try to make a smooth transition into it (slowing down turn speed?)

really? i just tried orrientating edge when it was in correct position and it didnt work

Petroleum melts and weakens plastic. People sometimes use it in storeboughts for like a month before cleaning it out to help break them in (well it's not like it can make them any worse ;) ) but you shouldn't use it for long... Lots of people have had their cores break apart from using petroleum based products (also from what I gather Aquaphor is petroleum based).

Not really, it's not like it affects the cubes performance... if however you can feel the scratches with your finger then you may not be able to use that cube in BLD competitions.

But that wasn't one of the things Rpotts said you could do.

Does the 7x7 v-cube suck so hard for everyone (I got him today):

I have to spend 7-10 minutes scrambling using wca scrambles and the 3x3 stage takes me 5 minutes! while i normale average 22 seconds on 3x3

Double or triple T-perms look awesome tough on a 7x7 :D

Have you lubed it? When I got my 7x7, it was amazing right out of the box. But some take awhile to be broken in. It may also take some time to get used to the size of it (compared to a 3x3).

whats a good tutorial for Yao 4x4 and also another tutorial advanced edge paring

video and written is ok
