Have you lubed it? When I got my 7x7, it was amazing right out of the box. But some take awhile to be broken in. It may also take some time to get used to the size of it (compared to a 3x3).

I haven't lubed it yet, i want to break it in first. And what is 'amazing'? If compared to a shengshou v3 4x4/ lubed and modded guhong how much worse is it?

EDIT: Are there any mods for a v-cube 7? I have only seen the adjustable core mod from memyselfandpi on youtube, but that seems too much of a hassle

A few minutes ago I had a really fun 5x5 solve. I'm using freeslice to solve the edges, and after having done the 8 first edges and realigned the centers, I notices that with a "d" move the 4 last edges were solved ! How could I have used this to solve the last 4 edges with one alg ?

I dont know whether you consider me fast (low 12s to low 13s) but I plan the whole first block and find the pieces for the second block and try to make a smooth transition into it (slowing down turn speed?)

So, to clarify, you'd usually have the whole first block planned, and all the pieces of the second block all tracked?
