Hi, i just got my shengshou 5 yesterday and started solving 5x5. I have done around 10 solves, my last solve(best) was 9:09 . That was roughly 2:15-2:30 for centers (intuitive, first white, then yellow, then red, then green, and then i use center switching algorithm that robh0629 showed on his youtube channel to swap a single center piece). around 5 minute for edge(i just do basic pairing, pair one edge, take it out of way, and bring another one), around 20-30 seconds for parity, i have to look up the alg and apply it(not learnt yet). and finally around 1 minute for the 3x3 part(my fingers arent used to this much plus its not supersmooth guhong that will do rough cutting so a little bit more).
I want your suggestions on, How much do my centers need improvement? Should i just keep them intuitive at this stage? Or any tutorials you have for me?
Also please give a good tutorial for edges, i dont mind if its tough, but i will be more comfortable if it has less algorithms
Thankyou in advance

What do I need to improve most?
My breakdown is something like;
Cross: 4-5
F2l: 18-20
OLL: 4-6
PLL: 4-6

I'm still using 4LLL too.

I'm thinking I'd either need to keep practicing f2l, learn pll or just work on finger tricks?
I'm unsure of what to do first though and the time it'll take, so if anyone's able to offer advice it'd be appreciated :).

Bigcubes.com is the way to go.

Def F2L, Get your Cross+F2L at least sub 20 before you start working on PLL imo.

Really you should be working on all of them, and F2L is certainly the most important as it's the longest part of a CFOP solve... but I'd try to get PLL out of the way soon, then when you're working on everything else you'll also be getting used to recognition and execution of the PLL's. If you just learn one alg a day you could have them all done in a couple of weeks.

When doing PLL do you do the algorithm and then orient the top layer so the cube is solved or do you orient the top layer first so when you preform the algoritm the final result is a solved cube? just wondering becuase i learn all my PLL algoritms and started to try to use them while speedsolving and relaized i do not know which method above to use? or does it matter? thanks
