Yeah, I do about an hour a day, but try to work on different things on different days, so like on Monday work on the first block, tuesday second block, wednesday CMLL etc.
Not only is that more fun/satisfying, but youll also improve fast.
Well those are just my ideas, some others do it differently.

Is there any way to get faster at the yau method? I average 1:20 using strait up reduction but whenever I do yau and I get a bad case of deges near the end my times end up being like 1:40. What should I do? Is there a different variation thats better then yau? If so please tell me.
]

My times sucked at first with Yau. It took like 2-3 weeks of a lot of practice to get back to sub 1;15. Just keep doing solves, trust me, Yau is amazing.

But are there different 4x4 variation methods?

I think everyone has their own way of doing little things in 4x4, but the generality is I think most people realtively do the same. I would need like an explanation of how you do a solve with yau, like on video or something. Maybe you are doing something bad

With a consistent average of about 16 seconds what do you think I should be able to average on the Fridrich PLL Trainer in Prisma Timer? If it makes any difference I start with cube in my hands and stop with palms. Averaging low 2s? Eh. Prisma says 2.5 mean of everything. I guess that's accurate.
Bump. Perhaps simpler question, what times can you get consistently in Prisma and what do you average? Do you think my LL is slow? Would a full LL/F2L split be a little more inciteful?

Edit: 2.2 cold Average of 12. Nevermind I'm fine.

How would you make an xcross with the blue-orange pair on white with this scramble: D R2 B2 L2 R2 F' R' B U' L U R2 U' R' U F U D' L B R' B' F' R2 L2

Is there any practical way?

EDIT: The best I found is x2 y B2 U' R2 F d L F' U' R2 F' L'

Ok, here is a video.

Could you tell me my faults.

This is not full speed at all its just a demonstration.

Cube explorer does work. You hold shift or ctrl for the White stickers and don't worry about the other

OMG

Thank you so so so much. I started using ACube, and I Was liking it, but that is really awesome.

I do however think that I will continue using ACube because there are a few Algs that I want to be MU 2 gen, and I dont believe that is possible on Cube Explorer.

I am just going to type this as I watch.

Ok, right off the bat, your centers are inefficient (i assume you are doing white/yellow in beginning, did not check/verify if this was correct, I only paid attention to those). I have no idea why you are doing them like that. What I do, is pair up a line (2 center pieces) and then, assuming theres no center pieces already in place, just Rw U2 Rw' (basically just put the centers up there) and then just make another 2centers line and just insert them into the center. Its so much faster then what you are doing. This is up to when you are finished with yellow/white

Ok, I am going to assume this is yau. You are not doing yau though. These are the steps

opposite centers
3 cross pieces in place
finish centers
finish last cross piece
3-2-3 edge pair
3x3 stage

you seem to be finishing all the centers before cross pieces. let me watch more (31 seconds into it, had to pause to point this out)

As you can see, because you finished centers already, you are terribly restricted into what moves you can do when creating the cross pieces. The first 3 cross pieces (for me at least) is by far my slowest point in my solve, and you are simply adding time in the solve by restricting yourself. Also, do you normally pair on M slice? I find lookahead much easier if you do it on the E slice, very strange. If you are used to M slice pairing, then ignore this, it just seems to hinder you a bit because you did not rotate to do the cross pairs, and you have to worry about messing up your centers. Just a little note.

There are too many mistakes in this. I am going to make a video of me solving. My way is basically the way sebastian weyer does it, as I learned from his videos (I think?, cant remember, but pretty sure). You can adapt it to your own style. I stopped at 1:21 in. I am sorry :P

I will PM you when I am done with the video. I am unsure If I will finish it tonight, as I have to wake up early, depends on how fast I eat my dinner
