I've heard many people lube cores, including springs and screws, with Lubix. Can you do that with any lube (I use CRC), and will it have any noticable effect on any cube? I'm asking because I'm going to switch to Alpha springs on my ShenShou, and if it's worth it, I could take the chance and lube it?

Core Lubrication is usually with a thicker substance so that it reduces friction in the core, silicone spray may work but I wouldn't take the risk of killing my core...

Anyone know a way to make Prismatimer work properly for One Hand? Like I remove one hand from the timer and the stackmat starts, but Prisma won't unless you remove both hands. It's just kind of awkward. Any help appreciated.

Edit: Lol if I remove my right hand from the timer at any point during the solve Prisma will sync up immediately to the time I'm at.

Spray has solvents that can eat your cube.. If pools form inside your pieces or near the core, it can ruin it. A GuHong of mine died after I overlubed it with Jigaloo: a center piece got drilled by the washer. Better lube the core with a thick, non sprayed lubricant such as differential oil, pure silicone or lubix.

Would it be ok to lube the core with CRC silicone AFTER
taking the entire core apart, spraying the screws and springs separately, waiting for it to dry and then assembling the cube?
Because CRC is normally used on metal, so after you wait for it to dry, the core won't be damaged.

i've done it with crc and it didn't wait for it to dry. Done it on a guhong, av and aIIIf
I've only done it after cleaning the core pieces (springs, screws, washers) completely. I find that crc can mix with cubedust and gunk and slow it down.

worked well
