What should I lube my vcube 5 with? Also, when I lube it, is it enough to take out each corner/each edge surrounding it, and just apply lube in there (repeat for each corner)?

I'd prefer not to disassemble my entire cube

Well lubix is the best, and if I were you I wouldn't settle for something that's not the best for sch a good cube.

As for fast pyaminx methods there is L4E
WO
and OKA

A short explanation of these methods can be found in a thread called Pyraminx method names.

Oka method tutorial and algs here
I just found this video the other day and am in the process of learning it.
Could someone tell me if this is youtube style?
From the pyraminx method thread I understand that oka is one edge correct the second edge not, and youtube is both edges correct.
right?

Also I agree with ryan, I only use lubix on my 3x3 and my dayan 4x4 because it has alot of surfaces touching. I tried it on my gigaminx to see if it would improve it better, and it made only a slight difference compared to cheaper lubes like Jigaloo. My gigaminx is modded as well.
I own a YJ 5x5 and I used maru lube at first, but Jigaloo worked better once it had been broken in. To apply Jigaloo, I turn the top layer (U')a slight bit, about 2/3 a cubie, and then the right layer(R'). To create a gap, and spray a little bit in there, then I work in those three sides, and repeat on other corners until it feels fully lubed. Since the YJ and V cube are the same, that should works. Let me know if it does because I just ordered a V-cube set. :D

Is the core in the haiyan haiyan cube a basic core? I think one of my sides is stripped because it wont tighten.

That is just the Youtube style OKA.
Go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d98qbM1O5EA for the OKA style method. It is the only one that I have seen.

My Question is how do you do F turns fast OH

that is the other tutorial I will watch once I get youtube style down. youtube seems easier to me.
by the way great tutorial, but could use more light. lol.

I have little experience OH, but I have seen people on this forum recommend this video. Which is what I will use when I start drilling OH frequently.
The Westonian
also some people can use their thumb for F moves.

I also plan on learning ZZ for OH, to eliminate the F and Bs.

I need help deciding what to put on my holiday wish list: Should I get a yj or lanlan or something else (I have a really crappy eastsheen). Also, what other cubes do you guys recommend?

First off Eastsheens are actually quite good if you break them in. If you don't like them, I'd recommend a GH, then a LL. I own all 3 cubes.

Is gh good at corner cutting?

Yes, as is the lanlan, The lanlan is only adjustable of three sides though. Not sure about the gh.

how to break in on eastsheen 2x2 and 4x4,both are unlubed so what lube should i apply on them?

I used CRC for mine and just played with them a lot. Not just solving, even just random scrambling helps to break them in.

Has anyone tried maru?

If you can afford meffert's, go with meffert's because they kick back a little to the inventor. :)
I don't know much about the cube itself, but i never order KO of meffert's puzzles for that reason.

why are puzzles printed on shapeways printed white strong and flexible and then dyed black, instead of just printing on black strong and flexible?
