If any one has a profile on the upsb board, how come it takes so long to get the account activation e-mail? I spelled my e-mail address right. I contacted them but I didn't get a response.

Is there anyway i can make my store bought cube (3x3) cut corners any better?
The corner cutting is just terrible, it's a fast cube, real loose, but it cuts corners terribly.
I've used Pestvic's method of breaking in the cube, but it didn't help the corner cutting.

I would like to formally apologize for my bad grammar and incorrect answers.
I would also like to apologize to anyone who has been mislead by one of my answers.
I will try to refrain from posting incorrect answers in the future, by doing research first to make sure I am right.
If anyone has a problem with me, please PM me instead of posting in the thread.

None of my Rubik's brand 3x3s cut corners well either.
I had the same problem back when I could not get a DIY. There were not any mods for Rubik's brands back then.

There will also be other videos in the sidebar thingy that you might want to try out.
Hope this helps.

What type of lube do you use?
I put lubix in my transformers 3x3, which turned horribly with CRC and jigaloo, and it made a big difference. :)

To help stretching, try using a butterknife or something similar to space the pieces.

You don't need 45 degrees, so you know.
Try to stretch the rivets and springs as much as you can.

That I gotta see...

Does anyone know of a way to loosen tips on a pyraminx besides breaking it in? It's only one tip that needs to be loosened . The rest are fine. I've tried lubing it but its too tight so you can't actually get any lube in.

Never been to a comp since they are never in Texas
on http://www.cubingusa.com/usnationals2011/events.php

are the cutoff times total, like 3 min to do all 5 solves, or 3 min per solve

the reason I ask is because it says the 4x4 and 5x4 BLD, all 3 solves have to be completed in the 2 hours.
Lets say 4x4x4 right now, the cutoff time is 1:30. If you don't get a single solve under 1:30 in your first two attempts then you're not allowed to finish your average of 5. You just do the 2 solves. That logic applies to every event, although with 4x4x4 BLD and 5x5x5 BLD, time is a factor so you just have 2 hours total to do as many (up to 3) blindfold solves as you can. You don't have to do all 3 solves. My friend at Nationals this past year only did 1 and was too exhausted mentally to do any more.

For 3x3x3 multi BLD you have 10 minutes per cube, up to 1 hour total.

The sand thing helped a good bit
I use Heavy Duty Silicone as my lube.
Thanks for the help.
