No. Read what you wrote. Think. Facepalm yourself.

Still does not make sense. 57 OLLs, means after F2L there are 57 possible OLLs, 58 including solved, that can appear. So why is it 1/54 and not 1/57?
I am sure once I hear the answer, I will :fp, but for now I am stumped.

Why nobody answer me >:|?
How do you take the ball bearings out of a Meffert's pyraminx??

The ball bearings help with alignment.. There is no need to take them out. But if you need to , My QJ has bearings and if you pop an edge out revealing the bearings, there is a cap you can remove to get to the bearing. The meffert's might as well. If not, disassemble and look for how the bearings were put in.

I guess that's right... I'd prefer a smoother cube rather then a clickier one but I guess I can't do that.
So does anyone know how I can make my Meffert's pyraminx better?

Have you lubed it? what kind did you use?
and no offense to you, but sometimes it isnt the cube that is bad, its the cuber.
I thought my QJ sucked, until I got better at turning it.

I understand now, didn't really think about it. :fp

There are just 2 common kinds mefferts and qj, expensive and bad tips against fairly good after breaking in. so I would go b, qj.

The QJ is awesome, doesn't require much lube. But the tips are stiff at first. The only things that disappoints me, is the plastic on mine is off white, where I prefer bright white. and some of the edge pieces jiggle a little bit, but it does not affect turning. Zero pops so far.

Okay since nobody will answer Havo's question properly I will answer it in 3 words:

Mirrors and rotations

The 57 does include mirrors. rotations make do difference, just AUFs. without mirrors, I think there is 41 OLLs.
Anonymous explained the correct answer a few posts back. and he explained it properly.
There is 5 that are 108 and 4 of them are double headlight ones. Of the two cases were everything is solved but two edges, I would think they would both have the same probability, but they do not. That is another confusing thing. Next semester when I am in statistics class, I might figure out the math behind this stuff, lol.

No, you don't understand what I'm saying. The total number of OLL cases is, I believe, 2^3 * 3^3 (=216) which is reduced to 58 by similarities such as mirrors and rotations.

Okay, so there are several different ways to get the H OCLL case. That OCLL case is the F/B and L/R mirror of itself, and is also a rotation of itself (y2). Each of these are different (as far as the 216 case count goes) but are THE SAME for the 58 cases. Because different OLL cases repeat a different number of times like that, they have different probabilities.

I doubt you could even come close to understanding it but read this: http://www.jaapsch.net/puzzles/theory.htm#burnside

theanonymouscuber did not answer this question.

It's not confusing at all. The of the all corners oriented OLLs there are 7 unique cases (8 including OLL skip). You can have adj in FR, BR, BL and FL meaning there are 4 ways to get OLL 28
O28.gif
Since there are 4 ways to get it, we can infer a 4/216 probability, which reduces to 1/57.

For the two opposite edges case, OLL 57
O57.gif
there are only two ways it can appear, FB and LR, because a y2/U2 will give you the exact same case, unlike the adjacent edges case. 2/216 = 1/108

For the no edges all corners case, OLL 20
O20.gif
there is only one was for this case to appear, as doing a y,y' or y2 doesn't change arrangement of oriented/misoriented stickers. 1/216

@HavoCentral- I did have a QJ pyraminx and I was decent at it. I knew how to turn it and I practiced a lot. One day one of the edge pieces like cracked or something and now I cant do 3 turns without that piece popping out. I got a Mefferts because they never pop but now the turning is pretty bad. I've been practicing a lot and I'm pretty sure it's the cube, not the cuber.
@TiLiMayor Meffert's tips are reeeaally good. way better then my QJ. I don't know why you think that.
@Soljahsu I would reccommend a QJ but they are kind of fragile and it takes a little bit of breaking in.
