I learned from this:

You can also watch feliks "4x4 example solves if" you want more.

Thanks, I'll check that out later. I may also see some of Mats and Sebastien's reconstructions (I'm learning it for Yau, so seeing it used in Yau may be very useful.

I am aiming for sub 20 hopefully sometime soon and am wondering what my movecount for cross, F2L, and last layer should be, as well as the typical amount of time each step should take.

Thanks!

for sub 20, try 13 second f2l and 7 second LL. i dont know good fridrich movecounts. but <30 moves for f2l seems reasonable and 20 moves for LL seems around average.

YO I HAVE A QUESTION>>>

If we identify the fridrich method as "CFOP" then why does nobody identify the roux method as "FSCL"... pronounced "fiscal"?

and why can't ZZ (coll+epll) be called "EFCE"?

and don't u dare say "oh cuz like thars like 39 people who developed fridrich at teh same tiem so it r not fair and we cant credit all of them plox"

if we can describe one method with an abbreviation for the steps, we can describe all methods in the same manner very easily.

YO I MIGHT HAVE AN ANSWER>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Cause its easier to call things by its name, not abbreviations. It just happens to be that CFOP is pretty easy to spell out.
Then again, there are people that dont know all the algs, so technically they call it CF2O2P(For beginning cfopers) and it would just end up very complicated and not beginner friendly.
Final theory, just cuz.

You can go ahead if you want to. But we don't want to. And we won't know what you're talking about.

And since you've already told us not to say (one of) the answer to your question, I personally have got nowehere to go.

is it possible to construct a functional 2x3x3 cube for f2l practice?

i'm not sure any 2x3x3 cube would be useful for f2l practice.

f2l as we know it will only exist as long as a 3rd+ movable layer(s) is available above.
