Cube4You 3x3x3 Cube Question

Hi guys I got a Green Cube4You Cube in the mail today and, its horrible... its always popping (though I'm not being rough at all with it) doesn't corner cut (or reverse corner-cut) locks up all the time, it's just horrible, my storebought cube is WAY better D: .... Iv'e tried fixing the popping by tightening the sides and such but it didn't change anything. The thing thats seems weird about this whole thing, that every review Iv'e seen or read sais the cube is good, however the reviews were all around 1 year old. So I was wandering if I got REALLY unlucky, or if the quality of Cube4You cubes has gone down. And if you are wondering, I bought the cube from Cube4You.com, and no, it is not a DIY (would DIY's be better?). If anyone can give me an answer, I would be very happy, cause I would like to get a good Cube4You if possible, Thanks :)

Which Wiki F2L algs?

Guys, for those who use the Wiki F2L algs(I'm using them while I'm working on my Intuitve F2L), do you pick your favorite or most fingertrickable for each case or do you learn all the algs for each case?

Just learn whichever one feels best. In some cases, it might be better to learn two different algorithms for the same case, because one algorithm might solve the F2L pair from one angle while the other solves the F2L pair from another angle. This would reduce a cube rotation for some cases.

Carson, I think each centre piece only can go in one way. The only thing I can think is the core wasn't put together properly (which is unlikely as I assume there wasn't a problem before it popped) or could it be so loose that the centres are moving over the cores alignment bumps? :/

SweetSolver, I'm afraid repetition is the key. Making mistakes does actually help cement things in memory, as long as you try hard to remember what it is before looking up the answer.
You could try relating the first move or so of the Alg with the state of the cube... Like for my square OLLs I put the square on the r layer (with the lone side sticker pointing right) then I think if the square is at the back I do an r to put it to the back face... If it's at the front I do an r' to put it to the front face, then muscle memory kicks in.

Okay, thanks for your advice :)

EDIT: Also, just a question, has there been a comp in Adelaide recently (or SA)?

How to get faster? Dan Brown's Method.

Hi, I recently started speecubing. I use Dan Browns method, my record is 1.35 and my average is 1.50. I'm looking to improve by alot. I know all the algorithms but I think I should be using some shortcuts of some sort?
Also my cube isn't lubricated yet, because apparently vaseline eats your cube.
Thanks.
