If you turn the cube 180 degree, wouldn't they be the same case?

That's true. But the wiki gives alternatives for both cases. If you learn both algs, you can perform the alg from whichever direction you like. If you get the first case, you can perform the first alg. If you get the second case, well perform the second one. For example, if you just learn the first one and get the second one, it would be terrible to do a y2 THEN perform the first alg. Or a U2 D2' which is worse. :)

I see. Thank you for your help!

Hello,

I recently started learning BLD. The method I am using is Old Pochmann for corners and M2 for edges. Tutorial by EricLimeback (Youtube Username) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncpkVvIEcKc&list=LLsSgMOGr3aA4IpHpCa1VdYg&index=1&feature=plpp_video

I need a little help on how to put this piece on the right place.
P.S. color scheme: White on top, red on front (same as him)

So, in this case, the centers are switched (yellow on top and orange on front). My buffer piece is the red of red/yellow.
I dont know what I have to do in this case to keep the solve.

Do I have to shoot the piece to the BU with the alg. F' D R' F D' M2 D F' R D' F?
Or I have to forget that peace and change it, for example, with the FL and continue the solve.

I have just started M2 these days so I will probably be uploading more cases that I wasnt able to solve by myself.

I'm pretty sure that those tiles are thinner and the ones that come on the MF8 minx are pretty thick.

true the mf8 ones are real tiles

Video question: before watching the video its somewhat long and sorry about that but can you help me identify what timers i own and what colors to put on my 3x3 hexagonal dipyramid

What are the tools I need and How am I going to to the 48 edge point mod?

Is it worth doing?

What good does it give?

You can use a knife or scissors to shave the plastic. I think it's worth it, because it removes a clicky feeling by stopping pieces from getting caught on the excess plastic.

It helps the Guhong a lot. It takes away most of the click caused by the edges. Although I haven't tried it on my Zhanchi, some say that it doesn't make as much of a difference as the Guhong. Use a knife or dremel (what I used).

I use an X-Cube and it's pretty good. I have a Dayan as well and I prefer the X-Cube. It's not cheap though. If you're on a budget I've heard good things about the SS V3 but I have no personal experience with it.
