Whats the fastest method used to solve the 2x2?

Well, CLL is the most popular advanced method. It is also called EG-0. If after learning it you want to go further you can compliment your knowledge by also learning EG 1, EG 2, and/or Anti-CLL. The more you know the easier it is to get short solves, but I don't know if anyone knows them all. It's also worth learning Ortega to start with though (some solves may be easier to use Ortega and it has very few algs). Basically with 2x2 the more you know the easier it is to get lucky cases, it's just all about how much effort you're willing to put into it.

^ For me, it depends on what I'm recognizing. If it's PLL, there are many ways I recognize, and I'm sure there's a video on it somewhere. But if it's OLL, I first identify which type of OLL it is (Fish, Big Lightning Bolt, Knight Move, etc.) And then look for small patterns to help me recognize. Sometimes I even use auditory recognition. For example, if I was using COLL and I got a Niklas case, I think "Top op is Niklas" emphasizing the vowel sounds in Top, Op, and NiklAs. (/strange recognition system? And I don't use COLL, but I do this for 2x2 CLL.)

I know you use Roux, so what are you focusing on for recognition practice?

Im learning full CMLL. Some cases are difficult to find.

I'd probably use a color recognition system if I used Roux. I think Waffle demonstrates on his site? Also, Rowe Hessler and Rowan Kinneavy (excuse mispelling if any) explain this in their 2x2 CLL videos. I'll link you if you'd like. I've never tried it on a 3x3, however, so it may be more difficult, but I'm sure there are other recognition techniques you could try!

Pandacuber:
Get qqtimer source code, then tweak it so you get a CMLL trainer. I did that but found regular solving more helpful because I work hard at blocks usually anyway. But you might find it helpful as you only just learnt the algs.
I do urge you to recognise how cases swap pieces, and not just recognising by stickers however.

yes please (:

Go to qqtimer, get HTML source code, then look at the code and tweak it to your good or evil desires, if you're lazy I'll show you how I did it.

I re-iterate before you don't bother knowing what the algs do. Remember to also recognise by how pieces are swapped! Take time to reverse each of Gilles' algs and find a nice recognition system. You'll thank yourself later.

Yes i understand the whole swapping portion. I just need algs or else i wont know where to swap or how lol.

And im a too lazy :D

I haven't got my computer with me right now but it's so damn easy... Ill email you later about it.

And algs, learn 3 at a time by going to Gilles' table and reversing algs, getting recog, then learning the sequences...
Then practice the algs then test yourself on recog later.
Thats how I did it and I learnt all of them pretty quickly.
