My Dayan + MF8 4x4 sucks... I've lubed it with silicone spray lubricant and the inner layers are fine, but the outer layers are epic fail. Every time I turn it slowly, it will pause in between as if something is stopping it. If I turn it fast however, it is fine. How can I fix and lube the outer layers? ;o

tighten a lot then lube with lubix or something good and it will be smooth. If you don't have lubix then "i think" crc will be fine

I dont know whether you consider me fast (low 12s to low 13s) but I plan the whole first block and find the pieces for the second block and try to make a smooth transition into it (slowing down turn speed?)

Really? I only ever plan the second block if it's super easy.

It's just like doing f2l except on five slots and you expand until the last layer, where OLL algs are the same and you can t perm to 3cycle edges until solved. Then permute the corners by doing R' D' R(U turns until the piece you took out matches the spot above) R' D R. Continue until solved

I just had 2 in 50 solves with my ZangChi as I dropped the cube on my mat.
