Place to buy a black maru 4x4 (one that hopefully doesn't misalign)? The only place I have found is marucube's site but they have 12 dollar shipping :/ I was hoping this can arrive before my comp this weekend

Go check my threa-- wait, I removed the Maru cubes, since I didn't think it was very popular. I'm sorry about that.

Anyway, my question: Is the Mefferts Pyraminx worth the extra $11 over the QJ Pyraminx?

That stuff is rather thin compared to Lubix I would think, I think http://cgi.ebay.com/OFNA-10237-SILI...Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a033573d would be a bit better. No offense, but I think the 50Wt might be too liquidly.

Or you might try here (unfortunately only it has one tube left- I took two previously):

http://helidirect.com/ofna-silicone-diff-oil-50000-p-14751.hdx

The price is listed as US8.55 . But if you click "add to cart", the price is adjusted to US5.03...
(You'll need to add for shipping, depending on where you are located)

I've heard a lot of people using Lubix in the core on the big cubes and then Maru lube or CRC in the puzzle itself on bigcubes.

I'm very disappointed in my guhong. Somethings wrong with the screws and washers. Whenever i set a tension for all the sides, one is always faster than the others or one side cuts corners more than others. What do I do????

Tension each side individually, just becuase one tension is good for one side, doesn't mean it's good for the other sides.

A few of my weird cube orders arrived today, I got very excited... learned how to solve the 3x3x2, 3x3x4.... But I'm regretting now scrambling my DainSheng Millstone... I have no idea how to go about solving it. Does anyone have any tips?

Pretty sure it's also called an axis cube, It's just a 3x3 shape mod if it is that.

I heard that Lubix or really high viscosity shock oil is worthless for anything but 3x3? Specifically big cubes?

on the lubix site it says that lubix is great for almost every cube. but all i have is shock oil and i dont like shock oil on big cubes. jigaloo works better IMO. On 2x2 it works well and on my 5x5 it sucked.

EDIT: anyone know where I can get a printable cll and eg1 page?

All you roux users who are almost sub 15(like me) or sub-15, what are your splits? I was just wondering...
My split is approx: blocks 8-10 secs, CMLL 2-4 secs, mooing 3-4 secs, and I average around 16, just incase you wanted to know.
Thanks :D

Maximum number of moves it can take to optimally make a 2x2 block on a fixed side? (ie only on yellow, but any of the 4 on yellow)

I currently use Dw R F' U R' F Dw' for edge-pairing "parity" on 4x4 (I know it's not really parity, but I couldn't think of what else to call it ) What's an alg for that case that doesn't mess up cross edges?
