My Lubix Guhong is not the same as what it was new out of the box(16-17 days back), it is suffering from a decent amount of friction(i solve it at least 8 hours daily so the silicone might have finished or something), so what do i do? If i loosen it, it explodes, if i tighten to the original amount, it locks a lot. I dont have anything except vaseline at home. Should i arrange a silicone spray? Or am i the only person who is facing this problem with lubix guhong?

There will be a "sweet spot" for the tensions, which will solve your problems but it might be a very small window. Tighten the cube and loosen it about 1/8th of a turn at a time and try to hit that spot. Also do one side at a time, otherwise it will be looser than necessary and pop more.

10g)For Magic (and similar puzzles) the puzzle must be flat on the surface. The minimum angle that tiles must have compared to the connecting tiles is 135°.

10g1) If one or two pairs of connecting tiles have a smaller angle with each other, and the puzzle is otherwise solved, then the puzzle is considered solved, with a penalty of 2 seconds. In all other cases the result is DNF.

Thanks, i was using quarter turns till now and 2 of the tensions seemed good, i will assume the midpoint of them as sweet :)

What cubes are good for underwater solving? I want one with screws that don't rust and stickers that are some what resistant to water.

There is no cube with water resistant screws and springs. I think cubesmith stickers would hold up to water pretty well, cube4you stickers I know for a fact work well in water because I have tried it out.

Do you prefer the Ball Core Square-1, or the old Mf8 one (with the rails)? I think the ball core has better corner cutting, but it gets caught when you try to slice through the middle of an edge.

I can't believe people recommended you change the tension. You just need some new lube, if you can't afford Lubix, Maru lube is pretty cheap (can get it from lightake), or if ordering over the internet is tricky, just get some shock oil or diff oil from a local hobby shop. Dayan cubes are famous for performing poorly when they aren't lubed (although I quite like my guhong when it's unlubed - cause it's more controllable).
