There is just too much variety in techniques to look for one video, some people do M2 with one hand, others 2, some people do M by pushing up from the back, others do R'r, some even push down on UF or forward on UB. I guess it all comes down to what feels more comfortable.

I mean in terms of a double flick I use my right index finger twice and it super slow was just looking for ways to improve my H perm

thanks btw

after the scramble, when people inspect the cube, what exactly are they looking for?
Usually they plan the first step of whatever method they use so that they don't waste time looking for pieces and they can do the first step without looking at it so they can move on to the second step smoothly.

Gawd it took forever to work out how to do this picture:
Anyway, how would someone solve this F2L case?

It's the triple SM on the blue/red pair, but they have to go in the slot to the right.
I get this case tons, and do a 100 moves to solve it.

R U R' U' R U R' U2 y R U R'?

Thanks guys, that's great, I knew I was doing too many sexy moves.

One more question, my look ahead sucks, I was wondering if it's worth (if you've solved two adjacent CE pairs) strategically rotating the cube so that the solved pairs are on the back face (so you know that you don't have to worry about looking for pieces there)? Or is that just over thinking things (which may be a bad habit later on)?

my look ahead is also terrible so I feel your pain, but I would say the down side to that is way too many cube rotations which is a bad habbit. Just because you can see the pair doesnt mean its easier to solve, thats why we learn algs and such from different angles after all isnt it?

Are there any videos of people speedsolving with heise? I have been playing around with the method just for fun, but was surprised to find absolutely no videos of someone actually using it.

It's mainly used for FMC, becuase of its low move count, and I think it would be too slow for speedsolving.

I was wondering if this is a pretty standard concept? I just kind of came across this while messing around with Roux;

Basically the step where you solve the UR and UL edges you can just solve any two edges that belong in the U face, and put them in the UL/UR positions and it will leave you with the same ending cases with a little AUF after.

Not really a question, but...

Yes, it's totally doable, and some people actually do it in speedsolves, although I find it much harder to quickly recognize 4c while doing this, but it's definitely doable.
