Is there a way to make the 55 mm zhanchi faster?

I lubed (with 50k traxxas and 1 drop of maru lube) and tensioned it like normal and broke it in with ~100+ solves and some using a drill to speed up the breaking in process but the cube still feels really slow and stiff during OH. It's not gummy or anything, just slow. It can cut ~50 degrees and reverse half a cubie so it's not the tensions.

How did you speed up the breaking in process with a drill?

Sounds like too much lube. It's incredibly easy to over lube with 50k. Try wiping some out.

Try loosening the tensions more than you normally keep, but only if you plan on using the cube only for OH. Also, like jayefbe said, try wiping out some lube. Also, you might want to lube the core if you haven't.

EDIT: Forget it, you said the tensions were perfect, I'm so stupid :/

Saw your sig, you've gotten incredibly fast! Awesome :D

I'll just post this since you didnt specify; Lube only the core with the 50k. Since you have maru are are willing to use it use that on the pieces. 50k for core, maru on pieces. Try it out with that setup, should be crazy fast. Remember though that Maru wears out in like a 100 solves.

My question

Is it possible to order SS puzzles as DIY from anywhere? I dont like the stickers and the puzzles are usually assembled like crap (screws are screwed in so that the screw cannot be screwed anymore, a washer can be either missing, doubled or displaced). If not, can the replacement partys be bought from somewhere (at a reasonable price, no point in buying a 5 dollar core from an 8 dollar cube)? Mainly looking for the hardware + core for 4x4-7x7

I'll try wiping out some of the lube....

3-5 second intervals on each face like this but with a 55mm zhanchi:

I do lube pieces with 50k traxxas, break lube in, put 1-2 drops of maru for all my cubes. It worked so far for every cube other than this cube.

EDIT: Tried only using maru lube after wiping the pieces and it worked kinda.... still feels slow but it's better than before.

Do V-cube stickers usually last long?

They're good quality stickers with nice shades; They last a decent time, but they're not the best.

You can't, AFAIK. Replacement parts can be bought here, but I dunno if the price is worth it.

Right. I suppose I'll be buying whole cubes, modding the pieces and selling modded piece kits that would leave me with a bunch of cores and hardware.

Where can I buy 27mm stickers? or whole sticker sheets uncut? I need to resticker my rubik's bank cube. the color scheme is killing me. also, does anyone have instructions on assembly and disassembly? I really need to lube the internal tracks

How can I solder plastic to metal? Also I want remove the nail polish in a way that will not damage the cube.

You obviously don't know what soldering is. Go watch some videos/read up about it before you try doing anything dangerous.

I do know what Soldering is I have taken Engineering and the class tought me about how to solder. Soldering is when you melting metal to metal example: Soldering a copper wire to a circuit bored with a soldering iron.

Solder the core to the screw to fix that problem.

As for the nail polish use a lighter to burn it off.

Womack was simply pointing out that you CAN'T solder plastic to metal. He's not the one that needs the lesson.
