Is it any good? Is it just like a normal zhanchi except for the plastic colour?

Some people like Rob Yau prefer coloured cubes, but they pretty much all feel the same for me. The colour recognition might feel a bit weird at first, but it won't take long to get used to.

Lubix Dayan Megaminx

I'm wondering, the Lubix Dayan Megaminx w/ Ridges costs $13 more than the normal one. Is that really worth it?

If you count how much time is needed to perform the mods, $13 is cheap manhours. So in that aspect, yes. But I guess you really want to know: does it make that much of a difference to validate the extra $13 ;)

Is there a method for last layer (3x3) that uses no, or very few, algorithms? Not including beginner method :3

It actually doesn't take very long to do the mod, and I'm assuming it's the 48 point edge mod and V Cube 5 mod. And it's not a huge difference after the mod, the puzzle needs to be broken in thoroughly.

What do you mean by "beginner method" and what's the problem with those?
If you are looking for fast (i.e. "not beginner") LL, then it certainly contains many-many algorithms.

Or you can use commutators - those are usually intuitive movements, therefore you can say it does not require any pre-learned algorithms.

Hey, let me apologize in advance if this is a duplicate question, but I looked and couldn't find it anywhere.

For the sequence: R U' 1 U' R' U 1' in Dan Harris book, Speedsolving The Cube, I cannont figure out what 1 is. I have experimented some and I am just not getting it.

Second question, y' is basically rotation the body of the cube left to right 90 degrees, yes?

Thanks!

it works as "l" when holding red face front. also I use U' R' F R F' R U' R'
