Some people say that only konsta modded cubes suck, other don't. It's up to you, although I don't see why you wouldn't do Florian, it takes less than two hours and unarguably makes your cube better (if you do it right).

I tried consta only for 20 minutes and then I did florian as well. It was not a good scene.

I might add if you want to avoid slice lockups do consta then gently round where the small internal layer pieces shoot through the 4 little posts on the core. Round that area on the core where tehy seed through that's where the worst slice lockups happen. Then do florian because you are gonna need it.

After doing the consta and the core bit I just talked about I only get lock ups on about 1 out of 10 slice moves and they are gentle catches instead of lock-ups.

So i was at a hobby store looking for the so called lubix equivalent which is 50000 weight differential oil for RC cars and i couldnt get any and i found some ceramic grease the thickness seems to be the same as lubix and i tried it in one of my zhanchis and its making my others lubed with maru lube feel slow its used in the plastic RC car gears so it seems to be safe for plastic ( says it is on the pack) just wondering if it could be any good.

Hello everyone, I'm thinking about selling a couple of shengshou 5x5's that are modded with the Florian mod/world record mod.
I'm wondering what you guys think is a good price to sell.
I have seen some really high prices but I just want to help the Cubing community with cheap good cubes but I still need to make a good profit.
So what is a good price for a modded, lubed, stickered cube?

I made a 5x5 for this Norwegian, and he offered to pay USD50 for it. He was really generous and nice though, so I endeavoured not to disappoint him and spent 3 hours extra on his cube than on mine. I did everything extremely carefully and lubed and solved it a couple of times before sending it to him. He was really very pleased with it, and I was hoping he would let his community know where it came from to build my reputation, but I think he's still a new cuber and hasn't been to competitions. I've seriously considered it as a part time job, but it's too time consuming, and the profit margin is too small. I don't think any more people would be willing to pay 50 bucks for it again.

I didn't, and it's quite good. I have SS 6x6 springs in my 4x4 admittedly.

Feliks Zemdegs Cube Mods?

I searched very hard on this site and I cannot find the answer so I will ask you here. What type of lube does Feliks Zemdegs use for each of his cubes? What mods does he use for his cubes? I am mainly talking about his World Record/Former World Record cubes!

I could be wrong, but I believe he just uses regular Dayan cubes (primarily the ZhanChi and Guhong V2) lubed with Lubix. He used to use Lubix Cubes, but I believe he stopped using those. His 5.66 was set with a Zhanchi, which was right after it was released, so it was most likely original plastic. His 7.53 average was set with a Guhong V2.

Do note that finding the exact type of cube that Feliks used (or even using his cube) will not make you significantly faster, if at all. In case that is your motive here.
And also, (I think in a commentary with CBC) when asked about what his main was, Feliks replied something along the lines of "Whatever is laying around".
anyway, like ^ said, dayan cubes, lubed with lubix or differential oil.

I know 21/21 PLLs and 51/57 OLLs I want to learn some LL stuff just for fun (and hopefully make me faster of course, but really just for fun of learning new things)...edge control seems good, from what I've read COLL is not really too useful if you know full OLL. WV seems hard but kewl. What do you recommend learning for LL that would be useful and not a ton of memo (ie 800 algs for OLLCP is silly).

I would recommend learning 6 more OLLs! Then learn some easy COLL cases.

Not counting dayan knockoffs, I'd say the FII is really nice if you're not dependent on the corner cutting.
