How do you fix a cube

On one side of my cube, the screw turns as i turn the side. How do I fix this?

Anyone tried dyeing their cubes with Rit Dye? How was the results? What I'm concerned is about the dye chipping off over time or something like that.

Just got a 6x6 and 7x7. What are the rules of thumb for process of solving the centers? For the 6x6, I do the 2x2 center on a face, then the 4 2x1 blocks representing the cross of the center, and then finally the 4 corners of the center. Similarly on the 7x7 except it is 2 stages: 1x1 cross pieces next to centers, then the 4 corners of the inner most 3x3 on a face, then 3x1 blocks to get the cross of the outmost 5x5 of the center and then finally the 4 corners.

Is there a better way?

I watched the Vcube 6x6 tutorial and I didn't like the make 4 blocks of 1x4 for the centers.

The 1x4 is typically the fastest way. Or you could make the center 2x2, then add the 1x2 blocks on the opposite sides to complete the 2x4, then finish by building the two 1x4 lines on either sides. Same with the 7x7, you can start with the middle 3x3, then proceed by using whichever way you feel like, or by doing what you do on the 5x5.

I just got 2 DIY cubes, Zhanchi and Guhong v2. How can I tell which is which? One of them is already assembled, i think it's the guhong, because it doesn't feel like my zhanchi, but how can i be sure?
