Just slice, flip and slice all the way, and you need the parity alg as you do on 4x4, but it flips the two wings on the 5x5, with the middle edge intact. As you advance you might want to try bigcubes.com.

Slicing as in putting a wing edge piece into the place of another. Flip is the standard R U R' F R' F' R. You can solve everything with these two. And if you encounter parity, just do the standard Rw U2 Rw x U2 Rw U2 Lw' x' U2 Lw U2 Rw' U2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Rw'. I hope this is better.

Has anyone ever had any trouble with cubes going through security at an airport?

I've gone international with cubes in my bag and nothing has happened, you shouldn't have any problems.

If you care about your WCA ranking, you could try focusing on the one you think you're better at (in relation to other people). BLD though is more impressive for non-cubers if you like to draw that kind of attention.

I'm not really good at anything compared to other people. I guess I'll continue practicing everything, the problem is that if I practice everything, I don't really improve. Trying to find 3-6 events that will be my main events during the next few days.

My Zhanchi is loosely tensioned and super smooth but it still turns kinda slow.The turning isn't unbearable, but I feel it could definitely be better. Does the core need lubing, or is the cube just generally overlubed? I use 30k Reely diff oil.

How did you lube it?
Easiest solution is completely clean the cube inside and out and relube being careful not to over lube
If you don't want to do that, I would lube the core if it isn't already lubed and break the cube in with like 10 solves

Try to order lube with the cube. It's ok without lube but it turns so much better with lube.

When I got mine it was bone dry and didn't turn good but the lube helped it
