Every once in a while a corner will twist in the middle of a PLL I am doing. In a comp if this were to happen and I did NOT fix it before stopping the timer would I get a penalty? I did trying searching but could not find a straight answer.

Yes, it's a DNF. You can twist the corner back though, you don't have to remove it to place it correctly.

A beginner wanting to learn a speedsolve method

Where should i look to find a good speed solve method

This is why there's a message before you can post. A message which you clicked, so you must have at least seen it.

Click here anyway for what you were looking for.

As far as I've gathered, CFOP and Roux are generally thought of as the best. I've not met many people who use Petrus but it's definitely capable of decent times. CFOP is the easiest transition from many beginners methods but Roux is still damn fast, and fun.

Hello, ordering a set of cubesmith tiles, which one(s) is perfect for my dayan Zhanchi 55 white? Or should i get a original size 57mm zhanchi. And where should I get the cube from. Was thinking about speedcubestore?

Can someone tell me an algorithm for this parity on the 4x4? I have nooo idea as i have never encountered it...
Here is the pic: View attachment 2524

R U R' U ( r2 U2 r2 Uw2 r2 Uw2) U R U' R'
(where the little r is a slice move)
(the bit in the brackets is the standard PLL parity - then there is just a wee set up for your case)

What 3x3x3 cubes are considered to be the best for speedsolving at the moment? I'm going to switch from my old FII and having no clue which one to get.

If you like the quiet and smooth feel of the FII, you'll like the Guhong v2, which is smoother and quieter than the Zhanchi, which is clicker and crispier.

Do people generally agree that d turns are better a y then a U? Or is this subjective? This is for F2L, and I am trying to neaten my algorithms a bit.
