If I want to order a speedstacks timer V I, about how much will shipping be?
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area region. (California obviously)
thanks
i compered lubix with traxxas 10k, 30k and 50k in a simple viscosity test and actually lubix is between 30k and 50k. so its a 40k +-10k. So a good guess would be mixing 30k and 50k in a 1:1 ratio
When you have more than 45 degrees turned on a side, it's a DNF.
It's really just personal preference if you want to continue or DNF like Erik did once.
I got a 9.91 single yesterday, my PB, even though I average around 19 seconds. It was because it was an LL skip though, and I didn't even have to do a U, U' or U2 at the end, once I'd done the 4th F2L pair the cube was solved. It was a qqtimer 'random state' (sub-optimal or whatever that means, I don't know) scramble as well, so it wasn't just me doing a simple scramble.
So I'd just like to know, what are the chances of a complete LL skip (without having to do U, U' or U2 at the end)? Because I doubt I'll ever get one again.
Solve:
F2 D2 R B2 F2 U2 R D2 B2 L R2 F R2 B L' B2 D' L' F' L D
y' L F' R' F2 y U' R2
R' U2 R U2 L U L'
R' U2 R U2 R' U R
y' R' U R U' R U2 R' U2 R U' R'
y U2 R U R' U2 R U' R'
(39 moves - 3.94 tps)

WTF! 1/62204?! I don't know whether to be happy I got a sub-10 time, or sad because I probably won't beat that time for months. Yeah, chances are I'll never get that lucky ever again. I wonder what time decent cubers could get using that solution... Thanks for the reply.
Where is the 1st post ever on the forums? I'm interested because I'm trying to find out some stats (posts per minute, new threads an hour etc.) and wanted to find out an accurate measurement. Thanks.
how did you get that number? I did a quick calc, and just multiplied the number of OLL's by the number of possible PLL permutations(72) and ended up with more than 4,000

Starting with a solved 3x3x3 and applying an n turn scramble, what's the probability that the resulting cube will have at least one 1x1x2 solved block? I'd especially like to know what the value is after n=25 compared to n=infinity.

It's amazing to me that this seems to mean that SpeedSolving.com was started on my birthday. Thanks, pjk, for a great birthday present that I didn't even know about at the time!

ThomasJE, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

I put the date and time (14th March 2006, 12:26 GMT - time would be different for you due to time zones) on the Poodwaddle 'How Old R U' clock. That told me how 'old' the forums are. Then, I did the time divided by the post count/thread count/member count to get the numbers. I wonder - if the same measurements were made every now and then (e.g. first of every month, at a fixed time), would they gradually change?
my cubing history:
start of september 2011: starting to cube
start of 2012: 19.98 Ao100
january the 26.: 18.87 Ao100
a week ago (4. feb.): 17.71 Ao100 (starting to get serious)
yesterday (12. feb.): 16.48 Ao100
today (13. feb.): 15.40 Ao50 (did an average 12 (15.21? i'm pretty sure) (PB at that time lol) so i went for Ao100. Only got to 50 because I had tennis training) gonna do the rest tomorrow. Until now: Ao5 13.69 (PB by 1.00 sek.) Ao12 14.54 (PB by 1.2/3 sek.) 11.82 nl singel [PBs are 11.18 and 11.20 (both nl)]
paranormal progress?
I forgot to ask, does the dayan+mf8 4x4 get looser over time or do I have to mod it? I just got one on Feb. 11 and it's extremely tight and the stickers are very bad (no surprise there). I haven't lubed it yet but that just won't make that much of a difference if the cube itself is extremely tight.
