I wanna buy a timer and mat and on ebay there is this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPEED-STACKS-SPORTING-STACKER-STACKMAT-TIMER-/250958654226?pt=UK_Toys_Games_Games&hash=item3a6e4d2b12
I was wondering what this purchase includes because it doesn't say anything in the description.
So does it include the mat and timer?
thanks

It is "Stackmat" which means a mat and "with a timer" which means with a timer. So a mat with a timer. Just look closely to the title, the seller assumes all responsibility too. The seller also has quite good feedback, you can always contact him and ask him if you want.

I have a Shenshou 5x5. I lost a corner-center piece, but I put a YJ 5x5 piece in there, but it comes down about a millimeter. Will I be able to still use it in competition? I hope yes.

From the WCA regulations:
3j) Puzzles must be clean and must not have any markings, elevated pieces, damages, or other differences that distinguish one piece from a similar piece.
3k) Puzzles must be approved by a judge before use in the competition.
3m) All puzzle and puzzle part brands are allowed, as long as the puzzles comply with the other WCA regulations.

The bold text would probably be the only thing stopping it being competition legal. 1mm isn't that much, so I think you will be able to use it. You could post pictures, and then someone who has experience in competitions could tell you the answer for sure.

Just got mf8 square 1, there's two edges that keep falling out when I turn it, I haven't even stickered it yet though. Do I just glue them? If so, how and with what glue?
Edit: It's the top part that keeps falling out, it's not a pop or anything like that. It's hard to explain but basically it's the part of the edge where you apply the stickers. That brings me to my other question, do I apply stickers just with my hand or do I use something else? I have never stickered anything before, hence the questions.

Yea just a small spot of super glue on the edge piece of the cap, the par that fits down into the piece. It's a common problem, I just took all of mine out and glued each cap on to each piece. Just use a tiny amount, you don't want the glue to drip down into the cube itself at all.

Stickering's easy, you can use the applicator sheet, if it came with one. It'll be the large clear sticker sheet. just take it off and apply the sticky side of it to the colored faces of each sticker sheet. Lift it up and it'll have all the stickers stuck to it. Then take that over to the puzzle and apply all the stickers at once. Be sure to line it up good though or the whole side will be crooked. I prefer to sticker my puzzles one sticker at a time. I use a clean razor blade, and put just a tiny point of it under the sticker, lift it off the sheet and then apply it to the puzzle.

I forgot to ask, does the dayan+mf8 4x4 get looser over time or do I have to mod it? I just got one on Feb. 11 and it's extremely tight and the stickers are very bad (no surprise there). I haven't lubed it yet but that just won't make that much of a difference if the cube itself is extremely tight.

Thank you very much, very useful post.

What is zeroing and is there a tutorial?

Some say it's a meme, some say it's phasing, and some just really want avoid talking about it for reasons I dunno...

If it's phasing it's something very hard to describe concretely. It's basically influencing stuff during blockbuilding but on a bit of a smaller scale. I can show you some cool phasing stuff for any blockbuilding method if you email me. Tell me which method you use.

Also on a side note for CFOP I assume if it's actually phasing and not a meme then it's advanced stuff which you pick up over time. Like I do weird stuff now in blocks without knowing, lots of little tricks which would be hard to learn in one moment.
