Dan Brown's method is a beginners method. F2L.
Here you can find a lot of common 2x2 methods. I personally recommend learning the Ortega method as it only requires about 11 algorithms and is fast enough for a starter.

What kind of videos should I make? Do people still want an EO tutorial? I'm sure I could make a really nice one that I won't be embarrassed to look back on and covers everything in <4 mins.

One video that I would like to see from you is an example solve video like Feliks and Rowe (and surely others) have done. Provide the scrambles so the viewer can follow along, explain what you are looking for during inspection and what you are looking at during execution. Keep the turn speed slow and give as much information as possible, including different options; e.g. Feliks shows an OLL alg, then reverses it and executes an OLLCP alg; you could do OLL/COLL or even some EJF2L.
I would also like to see a fast av12, with scrambles included and good lighting. (=

Hmmmmmm I tend to stray away from the videos where I talk nowadays but I suppose I could put my pride aside and go for it. Back a few years ago when I did these I tended to try and make myself seem better than I actually was....especially because going at a slower speed allows me to see a lot more possibilities than going as fast as I possibly can. I'll think about because it does seem to be popular demand. As for the AO12 you want a first person or over the shoulder? I'm not really fast anymore =[ so that'd be the hardest video to make by far. I've got this one up already; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BdXGdR4tfc&list=UU2ilVueVhcfidqITvXLxtNg&index=2&feature=plcp

Edit: this too (has better framerate and embedded timer) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJPE6EqEaqk&feature=autoplay&list=UU2ilVueVhcfidqITvXLxtNg&lf=plcp&playnext=1

Do you recognize EJF2L just from the U layer corners, or do you look at the twisted corner as well. I look at both, but my recognition time is horrendous. I would much appreciate some tips or a video on this subject, panda.

any tips while looking ahead in F2L? I am so stress.... I am not progressing.. I have been looking ahead for about 1 month and I see no difference in my time.. T.T

Try slowing down? If you feel like youre getting no where, take a break. It has helped me.
Something else might be, BLD F2L. Do your cross. Look for 2 f2l pairs and think about moves youll have to do and how that affects others. Study that. Close your eyes. Solve.

Hmmmm....I look(ed) at both. Recognition time is a matter of practice of course. The algs and the cases are all incredibly similar and it really wasn't fun at all to learn. I would just close your eyes and apply 2 or 3 random cases that come to mind to generate a "random case". Then recognize, execute, repeat until it's etched into your brain.

Also, not that you asked but I think it's not really worth it in the long run. OLL is already incredibly fast and S4 doesn't have that many bad cases. At most it will make for some really fast (lucky) singles and some cool solutions.
