Preserve FL and FR, flip UR
(y U') F R' (F' y')

Parenthesis performed simultaneously for fewer pauses :)
Also my personal alg, I was looking for a speed optimal alg and found that...I think it's very good

Edit: I use 32223 pairing (E slice), so this is to flip what would create the second pair (or third)
 
So I just got my Shengshou 8x8 today, and it's awesome, but I ran into one problem. I'm down to the last 2 edges, and everything is solved except the very outer 2 edges. I tried adapting the 6x6 algorithm that swaps the very outer "wing" edges, but it doesn't seem to work on the 8x8. Here is a little picture of what is going on (X is solved on the left side, and O is solved on the right side - and if it helps this is is you are looking from the FRONT of the cube, meaning that these are the FL/FR edges):

How long does vaseline/silicone take to wear off on cubes (without using at all)

So recently I modded my V-CUBE 5 (badly) and it turned out pretty crappy - the layer I modded (I only modded 4 corners, took my almost an hour) was very stiff and rough. Did't know what I was thinking then, but I smeared some vaseline in the core and on the base of the modded corners (2 of them only, think).

So the next day (today), I decided to clean it off. Didn't do a very good job, but at least it was slightly better than before. I then sprayed some silicone spray in the cube, and now it is stiff again. And I think there's still some vaseline in it, though not that much.

So I was wondering how long would it take for the lube inside it to wear off (both vaseline and silicone)? I think its better of without it. And also I n'o,t think I'm gonna be using it at all now cost its just crap.
 
I have a C4U Speedcube and Dayan LunHui
i wash them all, then i clean it, then i reset the tension of them
but, after i reassembly it, it feels very tight in one side, i dont know why.. i sure that tensioning the side of all the cube perfectly same, can anyone help me ?
 
Just loosen that side. Simple as that.

1. I'm very jealous of you. Nobody was at my house to sign for my 8x8 so I have to wait until tomorrow :(
2. If you can't figure out how to solve it where those two are switched then just flip over a whole edge group, slice over, and flip back so you'll have one of them solved and the other with the outer two edge pieces backwards. Then just do the modified OLL parity alg on that edge. I don't see why l' U2 l' U2 F2 l' F2 r U2 r' U2 l2 wouldn't work for that case though.

Turn it over so that they become the UF and UB edges, like this:

X O O O O O
O X X X X X

Then perform r U2 r U2 F2 r F2 l' U2 l U2 r2.

If you haven't already, wash it out. Then just lube and solve. I use Maru lube. I modded the corners some months after having my V5 around bacause I was lazy. It still works okay. Don't lose hope, it gets better the more you break it in. And may I ask where did you get it from? Kong?
 
Just use the mirror? I'm sorry I don't really understand. For the wings that needed to be swapped on the right, just do l' U2 l' U2 F2 l' F2 r U2 r' U2 l2.
