i have a problem with my cube, not a new cube, it is a old one
My Alpha V(modded) is not going good right now, i dont know why..
I want my Alpha V just like the other cubers have, very easy too turn + Not Lock + Not Pop, But my Alpha V doing reverse,
its a lot Popping when i adjust it loose, i must set the tension tight to make it Not Popping,
But i hate the feel of Alpha V with tight tension, it feel like the storebought recently out of box..

So can anyone help me?

Here goes a fast one:

I received a marusenko sphere for christmas, this one

and I managed to solve it (Except for the last center pair flip). Is there a method I can read somewhere? After solving it I googled for a while, but I just found that it's a relatively recent puzzle and there is almost no info available, except the algs in the instruction sheet.

how dose it work like a 2x2 in a 2x2?

I basically solved it making center piece pairs and putting them in their place. Not really like a 2x2 in a 2x2, since the position of the triangle pieces does not matter, just the center pieces matching them. I didn't manage to flip the last pair tho, The algorithm on the instructions was really weird (Probably because of the notation). I'll probably open a thread with what I have when I have some spare time. It reminded me somehow to the pyraminx and the triplex, but I've never solved those, so I can't tell it for sure.

ok so it is a 2x2 ball

Where can I find the rest of the alg's for the skewb method here http://pages.cs.brandeis.edu/~storer/JimPuzzles/RUBIK/Skewb/SkewbSolutionACubist.pdf? I tried all kind of searching and stuff, but the "acubist" site has been transformed into a cash advance site. I really like the look of this method, and I'm more concerned with enjoying the solve than speed. The pdf that I linked is a good start, but it cuts off parts of the page and I don't know where to find the remaining algs.

Thanks in advance, you folks rock!

Bump, again :)

The links to the steps should work. Internet Archive is your friend.

so today after doing a bunch of solves on my 6x6, i noticed that it started to "click" when doing the turns along the sides with the pins. Upon closer inspection, it seems that the core is just slightly out of alignment, and requires force to put it back to 100% straight. Sometimes it totally locks up.

It seems to me that the pins wore out the plastic so much that they move a bit underneath the center piece before the "grabs" onto the layer and moves it. Has anyone had this occur to them? Any solutions?

Also, should i mod my oblique centers or no?

I would love one of ayi's cuboid puzzles but I know that the 4x4x5 often gets internal lockups. Before I go buy the 4x5x5, I want to know, does anyone have one and if it is a good enough cube to decently solve. If not, is there a mod for the 4x4x5 that will prevent such lockups.
