So, I decided to time my individual steps for 4x4x4. I use K4. I know all of them could use work, but which ones especially?

Two opposite centres: 7.79
Rouxblock: 16.41
M-Centres: 16.06
Finish off layer + F3L: 19.53
CLL: 2.72
ELL: 19.33
= Hypothetical 81.84 second (1:21.84) average, which is better than my usual by ~5-7 seconds.

if im 25 sec average on the 3x3 what would should i be normaly on a 4x4 i wanted to set a goal and dident know what would be appropriate for my current level on the 3x3

I average around 22-23 on a normal day for 3x3 and I get around 1:25-1:30 for 4x4.

optimal scrambles/suboptimal scrambles ---- difference?

hey cubers,

i have been wondering lately, what's the difference between optimal scrambles and suboptimal scrambles (on qqtimer)? and also which is used in competitions?

I put two drops in (just in holes beside the corners of the top center piece, so I don't need to remove anything) and it works fine. Given how cheap Maru lube is I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot and seeing if you like it.

Then what about lubix? How long will it last?

I got bored today in class, so I ended up doing some math, and I thought that I could easily figure out the chances of getting a PLL skip mathmatically. I know its 1/72, but I don't understand how that number was found out. Mind you, I only had a half hour to work it out, and I haven't seen any of the work done to find it. Can anyone help?

So i modded a white guhong, sanded down the corners and edges, put zanchi anchors in it and it became my new main. i brought it to my cubing club today and it either got lost or stolen. i worked a long time on it and i really loved it. since i REALLY donot feel like doing the mods again, should i just buy a fusion or godly guhong? or should i just do the mods again? i also donot want to pay mpre than 25 bucks for a cube though.

@Divineskulls
I figured it out by going piece by piece, and what's the propability of it being OK.

Lets start with a corner. Since we don't mind AUF's it can be anywhere, it's right in everyway possible. 1/1
Put an edge next to it. There are 4 places where this edge can be, therefore the propability of it being right is 1/4.
Put another corner next to it, e.g. like a 1x3 block. 3 places where this corner can be, 1/3 chance of it being right.
Another edge, 3 possible places, 1/3.
Another corner, since there are only two left, 1/2.
Then only two edges and a corner remain. They have to be on their right position, of course, because only two pieces can't be swapped. 1/1 again.

1/1*1/4*1/3*1/3*1/2*1/1=1/72.

"Mind you, I only had a half hour to work it out, and I haven't seen any of the work done to find it."
I figured it out in two minutes, though it's probably easier if you have a cube in your hands...

Bump.
(I'll add another average later)
