I'm a newbie cuber. I can solve my knock-off Rubik's Cube (Hate it. Will get a storebought Rubik's Cube to replace it) in around 2:30 minutes using the Beginner's LBL method.

Welcome to the forum! and, well, think about it. if you like a light, fast cube, get the guhong. if you want a heavier cube with a slower feel then get the C4U. I like my guhong better than my C4U. its all just personal prefrence.
So I', trying to find the OLLCP algs to learn, (and I did), but when I look at them they are displayed looking like a 2x2 and the organization is weird. Maybe I'm missing something? How can I learn these algs correctly? http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/OLLCP_(hax)

Now I'm currently trying to reach sub 1 min (using the same LBL method + a storebought cube) before moving to the Fridrich method + a C4U. My main goal is to reach sub 20 seconds.
Wait wait wait, nobody ever recommends C4U cubes anymore, they're terribly average, while dayan cubes are excellent. As you get faster you'll find yourself wanting a Dayan cube eventually, you could save yourself some time and money by going for one now.

The row along the top says what edges are flipped (starting with all orientated ending with none), the ones going down the way say what the corners are doing.

Whoa... but I have read a lot of positive reviews about the cube. Excellent corner cutting. High resistance to lock-ups. No pop-ups Thanks for the head-up. Now going to do more research on this C4U.
No video is necessary, silly. Just try putting together the corner and edge pieces. It's not too difficult to figure out.
If you've never assembled a DIY cube before, then assembling the core is a bit more challenging. Search around YouTube and the forums--it'll do you more good than making a "useless" thread.
EDIT: In response to your questions, I have the prototype version, and it's pretty nice. Colour is personal preference, and if you don't have one, just pick. It shouldn't make that huge of a difference to your times. Just try it out--you won't be disappointed.
No, 'when'. But good call, I buy all the top cubes so I can see which feels nicer to me, and sometimes just so I can give informed comparisons. I don't have a C4U because since I started the top cubes have been F2/A5,GuHong/LingYun,ZhanChi.
