not sure what cube this is? lingyun?

Did you mean 'you don't need to turn fast'?
anyway, I've seen Thom solve and his turn speed is legendary (legendarily slow). Whilst biggreen and waffle turn insanely fast.

I'll try turning faster... Although that usually gives many lockups.

From what I gather, your turnspeed should increase naturally if you focus on fluidity and look ahead, and of course practice.

PS: I'm currently in the same boat as you, so I don't know for certain (I average mid-14).

Info: Fridrich F2L, 2 look OLL, almost full PLL, average 30-45s? (My co-workers always time me in the 30-35ish range, when I do solves myself with online timers I'm usually more in the 35-45 range)

#1: How do you reduce cube rotations/re-grips? I'm guessing these slow me down, I do probably over a dozen per solve during every step (F2L mostly).

#1b: What's worse during F2L, cube rotation/re-grip or doing F/B turns? I've heard both are bad and both seem slow but I think the turns are slower for me than just moving the entire cube.

#2: somewhat related to #1 (assuming this would help), how do you learn to do your algs from other/opposite angles? I tried doing it with one alg and it just felt very clumsy, arguably worse than when I learned the original alg.

I can try to figure out my cam works if a vid of a few of my solves would help.

Example solves in text are much better than video.

What you're saying about algorithms from different angles: R U2 R' U' R U R' = y2 R' U2 R U R' U' R
Writing it down helps.

Okay, I tried one (felt even more inefficient recording it as I went along)...

Scramble: B' R D2 U2 L' R' U' F' L F2 U' B' L2 F2 L F' R' F2 R2 U2

Cross: R' y R' U2 y R' F2
F2L: y U' L' U L U R' U' R U2 L U L' U R U' R2 U' R U' R U R' U R U R' U2 y L' U L
LL: F U R U' R' F' U' R U2 R2 U' R2 U' R2 U2 R U y2 R U R' y' R2 u' R U' R' U R' u R2

I'm hoping that's what you meant by a solve in text. Apparently that was only 6 rotations, but 2 during cross seems kinda ugly.

Here would be my (rotationless) solution to this scramble:

y2 before starting solve
um...XEOCross?: L' F' R' F' U2 R' F2 R
2nd Pair: U' R' U2 R U' R' U R
3rd pair: L U2 L' U2 L U L'
4th pair: U2 L' U' L U2 L' U L
LL (easy COLL alg): U' R2' D' R U2 R' D R U2 R U
42 moves total

This really isn't a good example of a normal solve for me, considering that all the edges on the entire cube were oriented during cross, making the solve rotationless without any extra effort by me.

Can someone give me algorithms wich do the same as the following two:

U2R2U2RUR'UR2 (Corner with white above on top and next to it the edge, corner and edge have the same color next to each other and when you place the corner in FUR, the edge is in UR)

RU2RUR'URU2R2 (Edge in place and good orientation, corner in place but twisted, when you place the pair in FR, the white side of the corner is in F)

but are more my stile

(like the inverses:
RUR'U2RUR'U'RUR
RUR'U'RU2R'U'RUR')

Basicily only R and U moves but the piece of the cross never goes to the top (so after every R/R' follows a R'/R, no R2 moves.
This way I can actually follow what I'm doing and convert it easely so I can do it from multiple angels.

Are you just concerned by the F2L?
This is how I'd do the first case (U2R2U2RUR'UR2): R' U' R U2 R' U' R U R' U' R
And the second case (RU2RUR'URU2R2): R U' R' U R U2 R' U R U' R'

Edit: [honest]Ok, it's not what I'd do, but it will be now that I see how 'sexy' they are.[/honest]
