Generally when people say "F2L", they're talking about the second step of CFOP, where you do the first two layers at the same time. Keyhole is a method for solving the first two layers, but it is not F2L.

lol

What would be a somewhat decent 2x2 method with not too many algorithms? I ordered my first 2x2 yesterday and I have a competition on the 30th and I think I'm going to compete in 2x2.

Guimond. Is sub-3-able. A set of 16 extremely short "algs" (all 16 cases can be done in a max of 6 moves), + PBL, which can be done with 5 algs (one of them being R2 F2 R2)

No... It's 7

Not really.

Hi, i want to start learning OLL now. But i have a problem. When i learned full PLL around 1-1.5 month back, i just learnt algs from speedsolving wiki which looked good to me. Now after so much use, i have realised that some of those algs(around 5-6 like N and J perms) are not very finger trick friendly and most people use some another algorithm. I will relearn the new ones, that is no problem. But for OLL, i would really appreciate if someone can give me links to the most widely used algorithms which most of the people use so that i can be sure that learning 57 algorithms doesnt go in much vain. Or do you guys still suggest i should try all of them and see which suits me ( actually i m pretty new so i suck at deciding that).
P.S i know my times are not that good to learn OLL, but i want to :)

you can go to sites like badmephisto's and see his olls and use the ones you like.
