I took the ball bearings out of mine and it made it a lot worse The tensions on each side are different without the ball bearings. This makes solving it kind of awkward. I'm sure it varies from puzzle to puzzle but I would recommend not taking the ball bearings out.
I can't believe people recommended you change the tension. You just need some new lube, if you can't afford Lubix, Maru lube is pretty cheap (can get it from lightake), or if ordering over the internet is tricky, just get some shock oil or diff oil from a local hobby shop. Dayan cubes are famous for performing poorly when they aren't lubed (although I quite like my guhong when it's unlubed - cause it's more controllable).
Thankyou, i will get Maru lube and more than that remove the psychological fear that my lubix guhong is not something awesome , but i just wrote that in lightake search bar and could not find it, could you give me like a link for the same? ( i m quite a noob)
thanks a lot, roughly how much of liquid is inside 1 bottle? I was thinking of a group order, will 4-5 be enough for some months or should i order more?(roughly how many if yes), considering the fact that i am going to use one 2x2, 3x3, 4x4,square one, pyramid each,
If you're just beginning, then go to bob burton's page. Although not all of them are good, you will eventually find other sites that will help you. Another good source is the speedsolving wiki and I think it provides some links to many other sites a lot of researching but at the end, you will know a lot of different algs that will help you in the long run
Start with Jig-a-loo: just put in 2-3 quick sprays- too much will ruin it.
Break the cube in, then use lubix. Follow LubixCubes' tutorial on the Ultimate Lubix GuHong.

I currently don't have lubix but I'm saving money for it So I used some jig-a-loo first then I maru lubed it the next day. It surprisingly sucks.... (I NEED LUBIX!!!!)
Place to buy a black maru 4x4 (one that hopefully doesn't misalign)? The only place I have found is marucube's site but they have 12 dollar shipping :/ I was hoping this can arrive before my comp this weekend

I'm pretty sure every Maru 4x4 misaligns. Maybe you could get 1 in the next competition or so. Just tighten the screws equally so that the cube won't misalign too ofter (that's what I did on my 4x4 then loosened it again and now it barely happens!)
