Assuming when you sramble it like white top green front then you are looking for the yellow cross... (white top green front is how i am holding while doing cross)
(Note that I wouldnt fingertrick it like this (referring to the B moves)
1. y' D L U2 R' F D
2. D R' B' D' L D' R2
3 U' y F' D' R' F' y2 D' R' D
the 3rd solution is what I would do in a speedsolve. I think that is a terrible cross. But in a real speedsolve I would choose a better cross anyway. I dont recommend using my solution for #3
Yes they seem pretty good to me. I haven't changed mine yet, but I always have many spare 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 spare sets just in case. I'm weird like that.
Hey guys I have just 2 more OLLs left to learn! It's pretty exciting, but I have left the most awkward (in my opinion) ones 'til last. What algorithms do you use for OLLs 49 and 50? The algorithms I see listed seem super awkward to perform, so some hints on those would be appreciated.
Ra: y2 z U R2 U' R2 U F' U' R' U R U F U2 R
I really need some fingertrick help on this alg's execution since when I do it, it seem so awkward to me and this perm done with L U and F isn't that fast on me.
Can anyone tell me some actual benefits of the "Yau" method for 4x4x4, as opposed to standard reduction? All I ever hear is that it causes magic good stuff to happen.

From what Ive seen of it is that yuu build your cross and then complete centers and continue edge pairing so yuu then follow up with F2L, so I see it has some look ahead benefit in there.
step 4b is what I am having trouble with. What do I need to do to solve step 4b from this? I am sort of confused on what to do on this step. Its the only thing holding me back
