@ilikecubing
D' R (D' u') L R' D
L F' R' d' R2 y' R' F R D'
y L2' B F' R F' U R' F2 D

were the first things I came up with.

EDIT: these are what I think I would do in a speedsolve.

1. y' D L U2 R' F D
2. D R' B' D' L D' R2
3 U' y F' D' R' F' y2 D' R' D

the 3rd solution is what I would do in a speedsolve. I think that is a terrible cross. But in a real speedsolve I would choose a better cross anyway. I dont recommend using my solution for #3

Err 8 moves for the 2nd and 3rd solution, isn't that too much,I've heard that the cross can be solved in 7 or less moves

Here are some scrambles, what will be your shortest possible cross solutions to these scrabmles. Thanks

Cross on Bottom

Scrambles

F2 U' B2 U2 R B' R' U' D' F' L' U F2 B' U

U2 L2 F2 R' D' L2 R U' L2 F B' R' F' L F2

U' B2 F U2 D L' B2 F U' D' L2 R' F L2 U'
First scramble-6 moves (let me know if you want any of my solutions)
Second scramble-6 moves.
Third-7 moves

I'd pick a different cross though (aka yellow). I'm white/yellow cross.

Yes, and the cube can be solved in 20 moves or less. So why are speedsolves almost always >40 moves? Because you only get 15 seconds to inspect.
I gave myself 15 seconds with your scrambles, and gave you the first course of action that I thought of. Of course it's not always going to be optimal.

2.) L F' U' R' F D' R2 7 moves

3.) (y) U' F' L' U2 D' R' F 7 moves

I'm really frustrated with the 4x4x4 cube. I've owned 4 different ones including eastsheen, mefferts, maru, and now x-cube. My x-cube is definitely the best one so far, and I've got it broken in pretty well, but I just find it really difficult to actually turn it how I would like.
When I watch videos of good cubers, they just seem to be solving the cube effortlessly, like it just glides in their fingers. I spent yesterday finally learning the parity algorithms, and it currently takes me about 11 seconds on average to perform the OLL parity.

Is turning the 4x4 something that you just have to get used to, and I will get better at it? or am I somehow just doing something wrong?

I can wrist it in 8 seconds so if you cube is that crappy then lube it/break it in more. It takes several hundred solves for it to even feel somewhat good.

What's your avg? If you are sub2, just practice. Other wise work on your turning skills.
I can do the OLL sub5, on my dayan. I learned 2 different algs, and had to figure out how to FT it before I could do it tho.

. I own a dayan, maru, ES and a shengshou. and rank them 4.ES 3.M 2.SS 1.D
I love the shengshous size and how all of the inner layers turn so smooth, but the cc isn't that great. Does the cc improve with a lot of breaking in?
