My QJ 4x4 is really loose (almost unusable even as slow as I am). Would putting a heavy shock oil (50wt) slow it down a little?
Also, what else could help slow it down?
ummm. naw, i picked up a cube now and then, just not like practiced i guess i should say. but i guess it's going good haven't timed myself since before summer though. so we'll see.
@~Phoenix Death~ wow dude.. that's a lot of information. lawl.

Okay, I've read tell that the skewb will likely be an event in official wca comps next year. If it goes through, would there be a possibility of it being an event at already announced comps in Quarter 1 of 2011? Sorry if it's a bit specific!
For the 3 cycles in roux, wherever the block is usually gives it away (the inner 1x2x2 block) your going to want to move the piece that does not match with any single face to the block...
and if the block is M2(ed) then the one that matches is in its correct spot needs to be moved... I guess I can make a video if you want

You probably will want to contact the organizer or ask in the thread. Some competitions are listing it as an unofficial event and if Skewb becomes official they will change it to official, iirc. If it's not listed on the website right now, it's doubtful.
It is a mini QJ, and it didn't work that well thanks though.
Should I try 50wt shock oil? Or is there something else to try?
(The cube is so loose that when shaken the faces turn by themselves).
