how do you clean the core of a 3x3? i know how to clean the peices /core with just a paper towel but i want the core completely cleaned (a paper towel wont get the gunk out that's on there completely probably)

completely cleaned my cube including core, and sprayed some crc on it

im sorry to say, but RIP my haiyan memory

This is not a question, but advice to anyone wanting to learn to do your cube faster.

Do not take this challenge lightly.

Step 1: Buy a Latch Cube
Step 2: Scramble Latch Cube
Step 3: Get annoyed
Step 4: Finally Solve It
Step 5: Get a fast time (I would be happy with 10 minutes personally, but am trying for 5)
Step 6: Figure out more algorithms you would have never thought of in the first place.

After solving a regular cube for years, I hate to say that I never enjoyed for its simplicity, I just loved solving it.
But after the latch cube, the standard 3x3 gained a new level in my head.

Also is there a Latch Cube algorithm thread, so I can post algs as i find them.
If not I will start it, I just dont want to if there already is one. Could not find it by searching.

And which section should it be posted in?

y (F R' F' R) (U R U R') (U' R U' R') and mirror.
But mainly because I could just memo this as "Slamhedger then WV case"
i'm hardly able to sub2 that, what time do you get for that?

that beginning is awkward as hell also, that's the main reason
edit-trying an x rotation for the beginning, helped slightly but not much.

edit-with mine with no lockups(hard to not lockup in real solve) my alg gets me 1.5ish -1.6

@RyanReese

about the haiyan memory, you lubed with crc and why you say it died? if is like sticky i have a solution, don't clean the crc, just dry it with a hair drier and the maximun heat (sorry for my english LOL)
