I average around 21-22. I think my F2L sucks (as in, is extremely inefficient). Should I learn some F2L algs or keep on learning OLLs? I know about half of them already.

Learn F2L algs and OLL algs, you don't have to pick one or the other.

Yeah, I know, I meant to maximize improvement right now, which should I focus on. I guess I'll go with OLLs, but I'm going to learn some bad F2L cases too.

Thanks for the help, Ellis and byu.

I'm on a mac (PPC w/ tiger), and I'm trying to find an alg generator. I have the ported cube explorer found here, but I wanted to know if there was anything else, preferably something that will allow me to restrict certain moves from the algorithm and maybe even allow M slice moves. Does anyone know of anything available?

mm, seems like Im unable to use the palette to set it up, I can only turn sides and flip/turn cubies in place

Edit- I figured out how to move the cubies around, but it's lame and its not giving me a solution to something I know for sure is solvable.

Edit 2- Okay I think I figured it out now. I think I had it on find 1 solution with a min of 20 moves and a max of 20 moves. Pretty silly because I think that was the default.

How is Roux pronounced?

You say it like Row. I know someone who's an expert at chili, and there's a sauce you base all your chilis off of, pronounced "row". http://www.ehow.com/how_13900_make-roux.html

There's also that new movie that came out called "Tale of Despereaux." Dess-per-owe.

I say it like "row", but I'm not sure if that's correct. Pretty much everyone else here will tell you it's said as "roo". And besides, the Roux sauce is actually pronounced as "roo".

Roux (IPA: /ˈruː/)

"ru" = "roo"

Whenever I cube for a long time, around 50 solves, with either of my 3x3 storebought cubes, they start to turn really slowly and get really tight. Does anyone else have this happen to them? Or do you know why this might be happening?

A really weird question:

If an edge is oriented, we say it's oriented.

If it's not, is the proper word "misoriented", "unoriented", or "disoriented"?

Mostly, people would say "flipped" or "bad." I would say "misoriented" because it sounds better.
