I got my first SQ-1 in the mail today and I'm totally stumped...

Can someone supply me with a few hints on how I would go about solving it? Please note that I don't want a guide, just a few hints.
Look up a tutorial.
I want to throw my square-1... Just the feeling of a non-square puzzle is annoying the hell out of me...

I looked up how to get it square, no real guide makes sense, I have left fist on top, square on bottom, does anyone have the algorithm to get it square from there?

Is there any way to take apart a mf8 supersquare 1?
One of the rectangular center caps has a screw underneath. The spring is friggin long.
Where is a good tutorial for 4x4 3 at a time edge pairing?
RobH0629. It's his 4x4 tutorial with Advanced Edge Pairing. However, he actually teaches 6. At the part where you'd be done with three dedges and you're about to swap them out to form another 3, just put all the dedges at the top and fix your centers.

any tutorial on how to assembly a DIY lingYun?

Is LanLan at all related to Windtalkers?

A few days ago I was in Whitcoulls (NZ shop) and found a super floppy cube made by 'Windtalkers'. Earlier today I found this picture of a LanLan 2x2 with packaging. It has the Windtalkers symbol on it and I'm pretty sure it says Windtalkers.

From this, I would assume that they are related, but I have never heard that they are connected.

Thanks.

I watched Camcuber's review of the Dayan Lingyun and I am considering buying it. I really liked the pink colored plastic in the video. Does anyone know of where (If you can even buy it) to find a Pink colored Dayan Lingyun? Preferably a shop located in the USA?

I think cubedepot still has them. Thats the only site I know that ever sold them
EDIT: my bad, they are guhongs. but get the guhong, they are better than lingyuns from what I hear.

I felt the same way when I first got mine. I didnt solve it for a while, and now its sooo easy.

Look at japps site, has a lot of sq1 info and methods.Try method two for the square part, its the hardest, but since its intuitive, 0 algs :D. Thats how I learned the square part.

I am quite slow at egde pairing, and is now searching for a new edge pairing method. I'm using the pretty standart Rw U R' U' Rw' and making 2 pairs at a time, but yeah.

Any recommendations? Any help is highly appreciated :D

EDIT: 4x4x4

3-2-2-2-3 is one of the more advanced and very easy once you understand it.

I spent about 2 hours assembling my new X-cube last night. I was determined to not look at any kind of instructions and assemble it on my own so it took a while to figure out what all the pieces were. I enjoy assembling my puzzles more than once so I made a point of not Lubing the cube this time. After assembly I'm so far unimpressed. Does lubix in an X-cube make it noticeable better? Any other tips to make the cube turn nice and smooth and quick?

Lubix on the core won't help. The turn friction isn't focused on the core. Get some lube and spray the pieces. Then just break it in. The clickiness will go away.

Yea I know it won't effect the core any, as the core doesn't turn, but I was going to Lubix the connections between the top round part of the core/center and the squarish peice that comes up to meet it. Also, I was going put a small drop onto each of the arches after I have the core assembled but before I start putting the pieces on.

BTW. Thanks for the quick shipping Ryan, I was actually surprised to see it in the mailbox yesterday.

here is a video on how to lubix the xcube in case your interested. Lubing starts at around 15 minutes, I think.

Cool thanks. Maybe I'll try and go to a friends house tonight and borrow his high speed internet for a while lol. Dial-up kinda kicks me in the balls when it comes to videos.

If you put the lubix there it helps make it easier to assemble, because the lubix is sticky and will cause the pieces to hold together, instead of falling all over the place.

havo btw totally disagree with you when you said guhongs are better(i know thats fro what youve heard) but seriously lingyuns are much better than some people seem to think

I always heard that the lingyns was better because it was a modified guhong made to have less pops. This was before it was released, so I got one. Pops alot. Just got a A-FV and an FII, IMO both are better than my lingyun.

Funny you mention that. I used to use CRC to help assemble my ES 4 lol. and I am about to use lubix to assemble my new 6x6. I wasnt going to mod it, til it exploded, now I might as well since it is already apart.

I opened up the center pieces of my ES 4x4 to adjust the tensions a bit and i loosened it a bit more than required,so half of my LL pieces and the supporting pieces which are inside are out.

Now I'm having a really very hard time assembling them,i fear that if I try too hard, the other LL pieces will pop out making it harder for me.I have only one 4x4.

So what should I do now,i searched up youtube for ES assembly tutorials, but there were no good ones.I googled ES assembly tutorials or pdfs but couldn't find something of use.what next?

Is there a link online to where I can buy V Cube 6 screws? If not, what kind of screws am I looking for? I had to take apart my core since I glued it while trying to put pins in, and I have all the pieces except for screws... Plus, I might as well make it adjustable...
